The Ravens and Broncos will open up the NFL’s 2013 Season tonight at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The game will kick off at 8:30 PM ET.
Here’s a brief look at what Ravens you should keep your eyes on tonight.
Watch for Joe Flacco tonight, the Super Bowl MVP will be looking to start the season off on the right foot. Tonight is also a big night for the wide receivers to prove their importance to the team. With the competition so tight in camp, a bad game for a wide receiver could cost them their job. As always, keep an eye out for the one two punch at running back of pro-bowler Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce. These two did an excellent job last year for the team, expect the same type of play from them.
With much of the defense disassembled from last year, including leaders Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, look for someone to step up and take charge of the defense. Look for eleven year veteran Terrell Suggs to step up into a leadership roll and to put pressure on Denver quarterback Payton Manning. Pressuring Manning will be a big factor in the game to help out the secondary.
Jacoby Jones is always a threat returning kicks, be on the lookout for big plays from #12 of the Ravens. Watch for the kicks of Justin Tucker and Punts of Sam Koch to impact the battle for hidden yardage.
Sit back and relax, football season is finally here!
