Game Of The Week
Tonight the Chicago Bears will be playing their first primetime game on Sunday Night Football. Their opponent will be the worn and torn Steelers who have had multiple injuries and have lost their first two games of the season. With this in mind, the Bears can not get too complacent, as the Steelers will play hard in Heinz Field, especially if the difference between having their first win and falling to 0-3 is on the line. Defensively, they have not been the Steel Curtain that the Terrible Towel Twirlers have come to love. Through two games they have given up 405 yards passing and the Tennessee Titans and Cincinnati Bengals ran for an average of 119.5 yards, all this while recording only one sack.
Conversely, the Chicago Bears haven’t generated a decent pass rush neither. Yet, their defense is still a turnover machine with an offense that can capitalize on those turnovers better than it could last year. Maybe this game is where the Bears and Steelers can jump start their defensive lines as the Chicago offensive line is still growing and the Pittsburgh Steelers have allowed 7 sacks through 2 games. These will definitely be the match-ups of the game, whoever wins these match-ups will have the upper hand in the game. Ben Roethlisberger is known for extending plays and being hard to take down, so the Bears front seven will have to be able to contain and finish tackles.
As said before, the Steelers will not go down without a fight and Heinz Field and all the fans will be a rambunctious bunch who will wave their towels until you puke from seeing too much yellow. I don’t want the Bears to lose but they have less on the line than the Steelers do which makes this primetime game better than the individual team records make it out to be. So look forward to an early rough and tough bowl between to storied franchises tonight on NBC
