Week 5: Ravens Look to Defeat Dolphins
Posted By Brandie On Oct 6 2013 @ 1:18 pm In Baltimore Ravens | No Comments
The Ravens will try to re-start thier winning streak this afternoon. After losing to Buffalo last weekend they have tons of ground to cover if they are hopeful for a potential post season show.
Here’s what to watch for today as the Ravens take on the Dolphins.
Keep your eyes on Joe Flacco and his level of concentration today. Last week Flacco had a season high five interceptions against the Bills which cost the Ravens the game. Even with all those turnovers, the Ravens only lost by three points. A more consistent Joe Flacco means a better played game for the Ravens. Also, watch for running backs Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce to be more involved in the production for the offense. Last week they saw limited touches- a more balanced offense will lead to better results. Jacoby Jones is finally back on the field this week, watch for him to make a big impact.
The Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has shown much improvement from his first season. The QB currently has a rating of 85.3% with five TD’s and five interceptions on the season. A big key for the Ravens will be to put pressure on Tannehill. Watch for Suggs and Dumervil to lead the rush today and for Daryl Smith to clean up on the run game. The defense matches up well with the Dolphins offense, expect to see a lot of good plays from the defense today.
Jacoby Jones has been put back on the active roster for the Ravens and will be return punts and kickoffs once again. Tandon Doss did an excellent job filling in for Jones, but Ravens fans can expect an even more explosive return game now that Jones is back on the field.
The Ravens face the Dolphins at 1 pm at Sun Life Stadium in Miami today.
