The Ravens sneaked passed the Dolphins in the fourth quarter of yesterday’s game with less than two minutes remaining, a win they needed after their loss last weekend in Buffalo. In case you missed the game, here’s your breakdown.
For the offense, Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce were much more involved this game than previous weeks. Rice had two touchdowns rushing for 74 yards and Pierce added another 46 yards to put the team over 100 yards rushing for the game. Torrey Smith led the receivers with six catches for 121 yards. Flacco was 19/32 on the day with 269 yards passing and one interception off of a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage.
Terrell Suggs and the Baltimore defense put heavy pressure on Ryan Tannehill yesterday. Suggs had three sacks and Courtney Upshaw, Elvis Dumervil, and Pernell McPhee each added a sack to make the team total six sacks on the day.
Justin Tucker was the highlight for the special teams this week. The 2nd year kicker was a perfect 4/4 on field goals and accounted for 14 points, over half of the teams total points. Deonte Thompson had a good day returning kick offs. He had four returns, one of which broke for 47 yards. Overall it was a good day for the special teams unit. Look forward to the return of Jacoby Jones.
The Ravens now return back to the comfort of their own home this weekend to face the Packers Sunday at 1 PM.
