Fantasy Football Week 6 Waivers

Zach Stacy – The running back carousel continues in St. Louis, as Zach Stacy earned the start for the Rams before leaving the game with what is now looking like a minor injury. He was used as the feature back going for 78 yards on 14 carries before exiting the game, though owners should note that this was against the lowly Jaguars. Still anytime you can nab a starting RB off of waivers it is suggested as long as you have the roster room to do so. He is currently available in 82% of leagues.
Harry Douglas – It’s a sad day for Julio Jones owners, as reports have come out that the top 5 WR may be done for the season with a foot injury (possibly a fracture). The de facto WR1 will likely be Roddy White, once he has recovered fully from his ankle issue, but Harry Douglas should see a bump in targets, as will Tony Gonzalez. Douglas is a better add in PPR settings and should get more attention on game day as teams roll coverage to White and Gonzalez. He is currently available in 96% of leagues.
Marcel Reece – Rashad Jennings was the latest Raider RB to suffer a hamstring injury last week and Reece is the next available starter. He averaged 114 total yards per game last season in his starts for McFadden. He is worth a flier for this week and a must add for McFadden owners. He is currently available in 93% of leagues.
Andre Ellington – After splitting snaps 50-50 with Rashard Mendenhall this weekend, Ellington solidified a role in the Cardinals rotation. However, Bruce Arians has said that he envisions Ellington staying at this pace suggesting that his role will not expand past this due to his size at 5’9” and 199lbs. This is contrary to what Arians said earlier in the season where he suggested he could see Ellington carrying the load. Take it for what you will, but Ellington is worth an add in deeper leagues and worth at least a stash in shallower leagues. He is currently available in 77% of leagues.
Nick Foles – For those teams resting their laurels on Vick as their starter, Foles is a no-brainer add and is best used as a stop gap add. Two QB leaguers can also view Foles as a viable flier if facing a BYE week for one of their starters. Foles obviously isn’t the mobile QB that Vick is, but has shown to be better at spreading the ball around. He’s worth a look with Vick to miss week 6 and possibly more. He is currently available in 97% of leagues.
Terrance Williams – Williams showed up in a big way on Sunday to the tune of 4 receptions for 151 yards and a TD in the shootout against the Broncos. With Miles Austin recovering from a hamstring injury, Williams has taken advantage and should continue to see targets even when Austin returns. He is currently available in 83% of leagues.
Rueben Randall – The Eagles focused on shutting down Victor Cruz last week resulting in Randall seeing more one on one coverage leading to a 6 reception/96 yard/2 TD day. He will struggle for consistency as the third option behind Cruz and Nicks, but would see a steep rise in value were the injury prone Nicks to go down. He is currently available in 62% of leagues.
Roy Helu – Alfred Morris still looks like he is ready to play this week after getting the BYE week to recover from a rib injury. However, rib injuries have a knack for hanging around and owners would be wise to make sure they own their handcuff. Helu should also see his share of third down looks, as he earned that at the end of week 4. He is currently available in 81% of leagues.
Da’Rel Scott – After David Wilson finally looked like he was going to reward faithful owners last week, he exited early in the game with a neck injury and is already ruled out for the Thursday night game. The Giants have resigned Scott and he could see a large amount of carries along with a visibly slowed down Brandon Jacobs. He is worth a spot start while Wilson recovers. He is currently available in 98% of leagues.
Others to watch: Austin Pettis (89% of leagues), Shonn Greene (89% of leagues), Jerome Simpson (84% of leagues), and Percy Harvin (68% of leagues).
