The Ravens will play the Packers this afternoon at M&T Bank Stadium. Here’s what to look for as the team looks for their next win.
Flacco and his receivers will be the key to this game offensively. The Ravens rushing game hasn’t been the best thus far so a majority of the weight will fall on the air attack of the Ravens. Of course, a good game by Bernard Pierce and Ray Rice will be of great help to the offense. Watch for Torrey Smith to be the “go-to” receiver. He has 556 yards receiving this season, and the next closest Raven is Dallas Clark with 175 yards.
Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil are key players to watch on defense. Last week the Ravens totaled six sacks, with Suggs accounting for three of them and Dumervil for one. The defense must pressure QB Aaron Rogers of the Packers. The former Super Bowl MVP will be deadly if he’s comfortable in the pocket. Rogers is also great on the run so the secondary must play very smart and fast.
Justin Tucker was excellent for the Ravens last week. He was a perfect 4/4 and was a key part of the Ravens victory over the Dolphins. Watch for solid play from all of the special teams units and keep an eye out during kick and punt returns. The Ravens have been very exciting to watch on kick and punt returns, breaking a few of them for touchdowns.
