Zach Parise played against his old team for the first time since signing with the Wild last summer and left with a victory. The Wild blanked the New Jersey Devils 4-0, in part because of the continued goal tending efforts of Josh Harding, who improved to 7-2-1 and lowered his goals-against average to 1.11.
Mikael Grandlund, Torrey Mitchell, Dany Heatley and Jason Pominville all scored for the Wild, Nino Niederreiter added 3 assists, as the Wild have now won 5 of 6 games.
Niklas Backstrom was suppose to get the majority of playing time this year, but hurt his leg in game three and hasn’t seen much playing time sense, partly because of the success Harding is having in the net.
