The Ravens finally clenched their fifth win of the season yesterday in what Harbaugh called their ‘most important game of the season’. Here’s an overview of the exciting game.
The Raven’s offense was steady all day long, except for Flacco’s only interception. Flacco threw for 273 yards on 17 completions and one touchdown. Bernard Pierce and Ray Rice each ran for 30 yards. Jacoby Jones was the bright spot in the offense, with 103 yards total receiving and one spectacular 66 yard touchdown.
The Jets were held to only 220 yards of net offense. The Ravens Defense was firing on all cylinders. Pernell McPhee, Daryl Smith, and Elvis Dumervil each had one sack. Baltimore was able to have three turnovers in the game. Terrell Suggs had a first half fumble recovery and Corey Smith was able to snag two second half interceptions. The defense looked very strong yesterday.
Justin Tucker was a perfect 4 for 4 in field goals, an impressive feat considering the stiff wind throughout the game. Jacoby Jones was also a big help to the special teams unit, he averaged 21 yards on his five punt returns and did a great job of giving the offense good starting field position.
The Ravens are now 5-6, they will play on Thanksgiving Day at home against the Steelers at 8:30 PM ET. Do you think the Ravens can pull of a Thanksgiving Day victory?
