Fantasy Football Week 14 Waivers
Posted By David Willow On Dec 3 2013 @ 5:12 pm In Fantasy Football | No Comments
Donald Brown – Trent Richardson was finally benched by the Colts, and Brown was given the starting job. This looks like it will continue for the rest of the season barring and injury. While Richardson will still see carries, it is now Brown’s job to lose. He is a strong add for those that are shaky at the flex position going into the playoffs. He is currently available in 56% of leagues.
Ladarius Green – Antonio Gates is showing signs of decline, while Green is showing great strides in his production lately. The heir apparent to the TE position in San Diego, could be a strong add even for the fantasy playoffs. He has the size, skill, and speed to operate as a wide out from the TE position. Keeper league and dynasty owners take note. We will be seeing a lot more of Green in the coming seasons. He is currently available in 92% of leagues.
Montee Ball – While Knowshon Moreno played and looked relatively healthy throughout the game, Montee Ball did tally 117 yards on the ground while splitting duties. The Broncos could still rest Moreno down the stretch at some time so owners should grab him where available. He is currently available in 55% of leagues.
Julian Edelman – There are currently injuries to the Patriots starting wide receivers, surprisingly not Danny Amendola, and Julian Edelman has once again ascended to the top of the chain. He is being targeted just behind Rob Gronkowski and looks like he could continue to do so as long as there are injuries to the starters. He is currently available in 46% of leagues.
Andre Holmes – He started in place of Denarius Moore on Thanksgiving against the team that cut him and exploded for 136 yards on 7 receptions. He is bested added in deeper leagues or leagues that haven’t started their fantasy playoffs. He is 6’4” and has burners to boot. He has shown strong rapport with Matt McGloin which could also pay dividends here late in the year. He is currently available in 99% of leagues.
Cordarrelle Paterson – With the season all but lost for the Vikings they are letting Patterson get some run to see what their prized rookie can do. He has a ton of talent and should be a strong add in keeper leagues. He could put up numbers here in the playoffs as Minnesota feeds him the ball, but is best watched to see what he could be next year. He is currently available in 75% of leagues.
Jay Cutler – Cutler has been targeting this week’s game against the Cowboys for a return and could be a sneaky add if he does start against a leaky Cowboys secondary. He was having a strong season before going down. He is best added in 2 QB leagues or as a stash for owners on a BYE week for the playoffs. He is currently available in 69% of leagues.
Jonathan Dwyer – Le’Veon Bell took a ferocious hit to the helmet last Thursday, and signs are looking good for him to play this Sunday, but owners will want to handcuff Dwyer as a contingency plan in the event that Bell is held out. He is currently available in 97% of leagues.
LeGarrette Blount – After multiple fumbles, Stevan Ridley was shown the bench and given a football to hold onto at all times (at least that’s what we saw during Sunday’s game). With Ridley riding the pine, Blount will handle all the touches ceded by Ridley making him the likely goal line back. He is best added in TD dependent leagues. He is currently available in 94% of leagues.
Jared Cook – He has shown signs of life over the past 4 games after all but imploding the position for many owners this season. His biggest game of the year came at the Cardinals expense and owners in a bind that are looking to roll the dice while looking at the barren wasteland of the waiver wire(where Ladarius Green isn’t available of course) could do worse. He is currently available in 43% of leagues.
Others to watch: Dennis Pitta (98% of leagues), Nate Bureleson (54% of leagues), Rod Streater (81% of leagues), Bilal Powell (58% of leagues), Jonathan Stewart (83% of leagues).
