10 football members in the Big East, that’s the word today coming out of the Big East commissioners office. The big east as contracted to add Boise State, SDSU, SMU, but were unable to secure a bid for Air Force. They are looking to add Temple which could possibly happen soon.

The divisions would look like this:

East Division

• Cincinnati
• Connecticut
• Louisville
• Rutgers
• UCF
• USF

West Division

• Air Force
• Boise State
• Houston
• Navy
• San Diego State
• SMU                             Looking at the way the talent has been, it looks that the West will come out dominate to start its stent in the Big East. San Diego State is on the rise and Boise State has been a established winner the last 10 years, probing it season after season and on the big stage. Houston and SMU have improved and play in the Texas area, and are suited to steal recruits form other Texas schools.

The East will be made up of the usual suspects, no more than 2-3 teams with a +.500 winning percentage.

After 8 years of snubs on more teams then Boise State, Always quiet (till now) Coach Pete reiterates what we all know.

Once again the BCS has show the old saying is true, “It’s all about the Benjamin Baby!” With an odd pick for the Sugar Bowl, the VT Hokies will be playing the Michigan State Wolverines. #7 Boise State, # 8 Kansas state and a # 12 Baylor (with top Heisman candidate RGIII) were all passed over for the Hokies 11-2, the same team that twice was killed by Clemson, and could not beat them in conference or conference championship game. Once again the almighty $$$ factor has played part. These top teams (BSU, K State, Baylor) were passed over to fill seats. In a year that has seen occupy wall street protest because of unfair practices, the BCS has sent the message that they believe they are untouchable, and that box office receipts mean more than student athletes body of work. Its important to note that in a system that stresses rankings, the following teams did not make a BCS Bowl. #6 Arkansas #7 BSU #8 Kansas State #9 South Carolina #12 Baylor #14 Oklahoma. I will have no problem boycotting the games this year. Happy Bowling, I’m off early to basketball season.

Bsu remained in the top 10 this week in the BCS poll but the question that comes up to every non AQ and even AQ teams, Whats the point? What is the difference of a #10 and a #25? If you have one loss and you can be passed by a 2 loss team whats the point? This is not just a diatribe for non AQ teams but others looking in (VT, Ok ST.) How do you feel about this???

It was a slow start for the #7 Boise State Broncos against the (7-3, 4-1 MWC) Wyoming Cowboys. Wyoming freshman Brett Smith lead the cowboys to an early 7-0 lead against the Broncos, shutting Boise State out for the 1st quarter and most of the second, but with about 4 minutes left in the 2nd Qtr. the Broncos came alive and scored back to back touchdowns to make it 13-7 after a Michael Frisina  blocked field goal. From there out it was all down hill for the Cowboys, Boise State filled the 3rd quarter with a Michael Frisina 23 yard field goal(7-16), Kellen Moore pass to Kyle Efaw for 10 yards for a touchdown(7-22 after missed 2pt conv.), Kellen Moore pass to Gabe Linehan for 17 yards for a touchdown(7-29). Boise outscored the turnover ridden cowboys 13-0 in the second, 16-0 in the third and 7-7 in the fourth quarter thanks to a Brett Smith touchdown in the 4th for a final score of 36-14. Kellen Moore finished the game strong with 3 touchdowns, 48 career victories, along with his 4th consecutive 3,000 yards of total offense. #7 Boise State now (10-1, 5-1MWC) finishes its season out against New Mexico @ Home Dec. 3 and secures the # 2 spot in the Mountain West Conference. The Cowboys (7-4, 4-2 MWC) finish their season Dec 3 with Colorado State.

Boise State Handles SDSU as it Works its way though the MWC and into #7 in the BCS Polls on last Saturday. Kellen Moore, college footballs most winning-est QB notched another win to his record as the #7 Broncos dispatched conference opponent SDSU in usual fashion. Boise state with players hurt on both Offense and Defense was able to keep their slim BCS hopes alive after falling to TCU earlier the week before by a point. Boise moved up in the BCS Polls to #7 ahead of undefeated #8. Boise looks to keep the winning streak going with a home game against MWC Wyoming 7-2 (4-1) in the MWC on Saturday 11am in Bronco Stadium.
