Playing for a winning record
Posted on 28 Dec 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
The St. Louis Rams are looking forward to ending this season with a winning record, for the first time since 2003. The Seattle Seahawks are playing for a chance to win the NFC west. This will be a very hard fought game between two divisional rivals. A win against the playoff bound Seahawks would be great explanation point to a bounce back season for the Rams, under new head couch Jeff Fisher....

Time to evaluate young talent
Posted on 21 Dec 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
With the loss to the Vikings last week, the Rams playoffs hope evaporated. But Sam Bradford put up his best numbers of the year and looked liked a seasoned veteran. The Buccaneers got demolished last week by the Saints, also ending their slim playoffs hope. With the playoffs out of site for both teams, its time for their first year coaches to start evaluating talent for next season. Both te...

Rams must pound and ground
Posted on 14 Dec 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
The Rams face the Minnesota Vikings and Adrian “All Day” Peterson on Sunday. Peterson has been the most dominating player in football this year and seems to be unstoppable. Can the Rams stop him? I doubt it. Can the Rams slow him down? Possibly. I really believe that Steven Jackson and the Rams running game gives them the best chance to win Sundays game. The best way to stop Adrian ...

Bradford comes up big late
Posted on 10 Dec 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
The Rams pull out a tough win against the Bills today. The defense played well enough to give the offense a chance to win. Sam Bradford had a rough game, but all sins where forgiven with his late game heroics. Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was in a groove all game. He went 25/37, 247 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 pick and completed passes to 8 different receivers. With these type of stats y...

Overtime Redemption
Posted on 3 Dec 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
There are games when it seems like one particular team is just destined to win. The win today for the Rams was one of those games. The offense played very marginal and the defense bent, but did not break. In my pregame blog, I stated that Kaepernick gave the Rams the best chance to win and he did just that. The major difference between Kaepernick and Smith is that Kaepernick is not a game man...

Could it end in another tie
Posted on 30 Nov 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
The last time the Rams and 49ers met the game ended in a tie. Is there a possibility that their game on Sunday ends in another tie. I highly doubt it. Neither team very happy with the tie, especially the Rams who blew three opportunities to win the game twice in overtime. The Rams are the team that started the quarterback controversy in San Francisco, by putting Alex Smith out in  theirÂ...

Taking advantage of the Rookie
Posted on 25 Nov 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
The St. Louis Rams took complete advantage of the Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback, Ryan Lindley. Lindley made his first NFL start in Sundays match-up and it showed. Lindley threw 4 interceptions against the Rams defense, who were craving for some turnovers. The Rams defense absolutely abused the rookie quarterback and shut down Beanie Wells and the Cardinal running game, despit...

Rough day for the Rams
Posted on 19 Nov 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
The Rams seemed to have all the momentum going into Sundays game versus the Jets, but the tides quickly changed after their first drive. Mark Sanchez and the Jets got out of their funk and played a good football game against the Rams, who just got out played in Sundays game. Sam Bradford, only got sacked once but was harassed just about every time he dropped back to pass. Bradford and...

One team is rising and the other is falling
Posted on 16 Nov 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
This mite sound crazy but, the Rams are not the underdogs this week. The Rams face the N.Y. Jets, a team that is in total chaos. The Rams are coming off a great performance against the 49ers, that ended in a tie. The Jets are coming off another week of, “We want Tebow” chants. The Rams should have great momentum and confidence heading into this weekends game. This young team seem...

A tie is not a loss, nor is it a win
Posted on 12 Nov 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
The Rams and the 49ers play to a tie. This is the first tie in the NFL in four years. Both teams had an opportunity to win the game in overtime, but both kickers missed their field goals. The Rams got off to a hot start, scoring 14 points in the first quarter. Sam Bradford was hot, Steven Jackson was rolling and the defense protected the lead until the 4th quarter. Sam Bradford was 26/39 f...

Defense is the key in Candlestick
Posted on 8 Nov 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
This Sunday the Rams face the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park. On paper and based on the season records of each team, this game looks like a blowout for the 49ers. But with careful analysis of each team performances, along with their strengths and weaknesses, this game has the potential to be close. The entire league knows that the 49ers want to pound the ball with Frank Gore and ...

Rams went tumbling down…
Posted on 29 Oct 2012 by James Scoggins Jr..
Yes…I am late on my blog, but there is not much to say about the performance by the Rams on Sunday. The New England Patriots played like London was their home field. Tom Brady completely dissected the secondary of the Rams. The defensive line of St Louis did not pose a threat to Brady all game, which helped his comfort level, as he slung the ball all over the field. Offensively the ...
