The Seattle Seahawks are playing for a chance to win the NFC west. This will be a very hard fought game between two divisional rivals. A win against the playoff bound Seahawks would be great explanation point to a bounce back season for the Rams, under new head couch Jeff Fisher.

The Seahawks are looking to keep their train rolling into the playoffs with a win against a non-playoff team. A win against the Rams would be a great momentum booster for the Seahawks, and it would be even sweeter if the 49ers manage to lose, which would deliver the division title to the Seahawks.

This game will be a battle between two great running backs. One back is looking to solidify his career as one of the best power backs in football. The other back is looking to solidify himself as the best power back in today’s game. This may be Steven Jackson last game as a professional football player. Jackson stated that he would rather leave the NFL like Berry Sanders in good health instead of stumbling out of the NFL. I look for Jackson to have a great game in what mite be his last NFL game.

The Rams have a good chance at winning this game, simply because they have played very well against division foes. The Seahawks have been averaging over 50 points a game in the last three weeks and look unbeatable. I don’t believe that the Hawks will score 50 on the Rams, in fact I believe this game will be very close, with a slim chance of a Rams victory.

Lets keep in mind the Rams did beat the Seahawks in week 4 and if you can do it once you can do it twice. For the sake of excitement the Rams win 24- 21 to end their season 8-7-1.

With the loss to the Vikings last week, the Rams playoffs hope evaporated. But Sam Bradford put up his best numbers of the year and looked liked a seasoned veteran. The Buccaneers got demolished last week by the Saints, also ending their slim playoffs hope. With the playoffs out of site for both teams, its time for their first year coaches to start evaluating talent for next season. Both teams where in a rebuilding year and both teams has positive seasons.

Jeff Fisher has brought a new fight to St. Louis and the Rams have definitely exceeded expectations this season. Smash mouth defense is a staple of Coach Fisher and the Rams defense has inherited his style of play. This weekend versus the Buccaneers will be another test for the Rams. After giving up over 200 yard to Adrian Peterson last week, the defense looks to redeem itself. Rookie running back Doug Martin, of Tampa is the number 4 rushing running back, and is looking to bounce back from a disappointing performance against the Saints.

This game will be very intriguing. You have two teams out of the playoffs, but they both are looking for a win. The Rams are looking for their third road win of the season and the Buccaneers and looking to end their four game losing streak. Josh Freeman had his worse game of the season against the Saints last week, and will be looking to rebound against a Rams secondary, that has been playing some good football.

The game will be decided on the ground in a battle between Steven Jackson and Doug Martin. Steven Jackson might be playing his last two games for the Rams so he is definitely going to run hard and prove his worth, either to the Rams or any other team out there looking for a running back next season. The St. Louis Rams will pull off a slim victory against the Bucs on Sunday, and use that momentum to go into their season finale game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Rams face the Minnesota Vikings and Adrian “All Day” Peterson on Sunday. Peterson has been the most dominating player in football this year and seems to be unstoppable. Can the Rams stop him? I doubt it. Can the Rams slow him down? Possibly.

I really believe that Steven Jackson and the Rams running game gives them the best chance to win Sundays game. The best way to stop Adrian Peterson from running all day on you is…to keep him off the field. If the Rams can control the clock and pound and ground the ball with Jackson, they have a very good chance at winning this game.

Another key to victory for the Rams is pass defense. Every time the Vikings drop back to pass make them pay. Christian Ponder is a marginal quarterback at best. And if the Rams defensive line can keep him raddled, he will throw the secondary a gift. Also if the Rams special teams can come up with one or two big plays, that can also increase their chances of winning.

My predictions is, the Rams win a close game on Sunday as they make a push for the playoffs.

The Rams pull out a tough win against the Bills today. The defense played well enough to give the offense a chance to win. Sam Bradford had a rough game, but all sins where forgiven with his late game heroics.

Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was in a groove all game. He went 25/37, 247 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 pick and completed passes to 8 different receivers. With these type of stats you would think the Bills scored at least 21 points. But the Rams defense bent but did not brake.

The Ram defense only allowed the Bills to convert 3 out of 12 third down attempts, which is only a 25% success rate. They also got 5 sacks, 1 interception and 2 forced fumbles, recovering one. More importantly they forced the Bills into two first half field-goals which kept the game in reach for the offense in the second half.

Rams running back Steven Jackson had a marginal game, but scored a big touchdown in the third quarter to put the Rams up 7-6. The Buffalo Bills would answer the Rams with their own touchdown in the third quarter, but failed to covert their 2 point conversion, which resulted in a 12-6 lead appose to a 14-6 lead. The game came down to the last 4 minutes of the 4th quarter and the arm of Sam Bradford.

Bradford lead a 14 play 84 yard drive, going 5-of-8 in the air with a 14 yard touchdown toss to Brandon Gibson with 48 seconds left. Bradford has shown this season that he is a comeback quarterback and if his defense keeps him close he will burn you. This victory marks the third straight win for the Rams. The last time the Rams won three consecutive games was in 2004. The chances are slim, but if the Rams could muster up a sweep of their remaining games, they could be talking playoffs.

The win today for the Rams was one of those games. The offense played very marginal and the defense bent, but did not break. In my pregame blog, I stated that Kaepernick gave the Rams the best chance to win and he did just that.

The major difference between Kaepernick and Smith is that Kaepernick is not a game manager. He is a big play quarterback and is not seasoned enough to handle and protect a lead. He single handedly let the Rams back into the game. The Rams first capitalize off Kaepernick in the third quarter, when the Rams defense chased him into the end-zone and forced him the throw the ball out of bounds, without the ball reaching the line of scrimmage, resulting in a safety. Those 2 points represented the first points for the Rams of the day.

The second gift to the Rams from Kaepernick came on an option play to Ted Ginn Jr. The option pitch from Kaepernick sailed over Ginns head and while Ginn attempted to retrieve the ball off the ground, Janoris Jenkins jumped on the ball. Not only did Jenkins fall on the ball, he managed to roll his way into the end-zone, accounting for the Rams only TD score of the game. Kaepernick accounted for 8 of the Rams 16 points.

The game came down to the kickers again. David Akers hit a 50 yard field goal, putting the 49ers up by 3. But the rookie, Zurlein would not be topped, he kicked a 53 yard field to tie the game and send in into overtime. After both teams failed to score on their first possession, it came down to a real sudden death next score wins overtime. David Akers had a opportunity to be the hero for the 49ers and get the pesky Rams off the 49ers back. David Akers missed the 51 yard game winning field-goal, wide right. With 30 seconds to go in the game and the possibility of another tie game between these two teams, Greg Zurlein lines up to kick the game winner for the Rams. The kick is up the kick is good, just barely staying between the uprights. And the Rams upset the 49ers and proved that Kaepernick is not the answer.

Is there a possibility that their game on Sunday ends in another tie. I highly doubt it. Neither team very happy with the tie, especially the Rams who blew three opportunities to win the game twice in overtime. The Rams are the team that started the quarterback controversy in San Francisco, by putting Alex Smith out in their last meeting. Colin Kaepernick will be the starting quarterback for the 49ers this week and I believe he gives the Rams a better chance to win.

As a Rams defensive player I would much rather face Kaepernick than Smith. Alex Smith is much more reserved at the position, he doesn’t take to many chances down the field and he is smarter with the football. Kaepernick on the other hand will take chances with the football and his football IQ is not on par with Alex Smith. Cortland Finnegan and Janoris Jenkins, if they play their cards right should be able to pick Kaepernick off multiple times during Sundays game. Also the Rams defensive front and linebackers will not be surprised by Kaepernick, who subbed in for Smith in their last meeting.

The defensive ends will set the edge in this game and will come after Kaepernick. Offensively the Rams just need to play the way they been playing. Especially the way they played in the last meeting versus the 49ers, minus the mental mishaps that cost them the last game. Bradford is tossing the football well and he and the young receiving core are beginning to click. Steven Jackson has shaken off that injury bug and is pounding that ball like he use to.

I predict the Rams upset the 49ers and force Harbaugh to sit Kaepernick and replace him with Smith, resulting in more quarterback drama in San Francisco.

More importantly the offense was fueled by the strong play of the defense and went to work. The Cardinal defense that was stout in the early parts of the season is beginning to fizzle out. Sam Bradford went 8/17 for 205 yards and two 37 yards touchdown tosses. The running game was sensational as well. Steven Jackson pounded the Cardinal defense rushing for 139 yards on 24 carries and averaged 5.8 yards a carry. With this recipe Jeff Fisher and his Rams will definitely upset a few playoff teams remaining on their schedule.

The Rams seemed to have all the momentum going into Sundays game versus the Jets, but the tides quickly changed after their first drive. Mark Sanchez and the Jets got out of their funk and played a good football game against the Rams, who just got out played in Sundays game.

Sam Bradford, only got sacked once but was harassed just about every time he dropped back to pass. Bradford and the Rams passing effort never was able to find rhythm, against the Jets and all of their multiple fronts. Steven Jackson had a solid game on the ground but failed to score a touchdown. That pass rushing, sack happy defense of the Rams has seem to go to sleep over the past five games. The defense was able to get three sacks on Sanchez but out side of that, Sanchez was able to stand in the pocket pretty comfortable.

Ultimately what lost the game for the Rams were the three turnovers committed by them. Despite the lack luster performance by the Rams they still could have won this game minus the Red Zone fumbles. Also the defense of the Rams have failed to cause a turnover in 5 weeks, which is currently the longest streak in the NFL. It is imperative for the defense to create turnovers, if the Rams hope to finish off their season on a high note. If not, what seemed to be a descent season will become another disappointing one for St Louis.

The Rams face the N.Y. Jets, a team that is in total chaos. The Rams are coming off a great performance against the 49ers, that ended in a tie. The Jets are coming off another week of, “We want Tebow” chants. The Rams should have great momentum and confidence heading into this weekends game. This young team seems to finally have a sence, that they can play football. Winning makes everything better, but a tie against one of the elite teams in the NFL, has the same affect.

The Jets have a divided locker room and a fan base that shouts the backup quarterbacks name, throughout the game. Their starting quarterback Mark Sanchez has a QBR of 70.4, has thrown for 1860 yards, 10 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He is the head of an offense that is ranked 30th in the NFL and on the other side of the ball the defense is ranked 24th. The Jets defense is also ranked 30th against the run. With the way that Steven Jackson has been running lately, he should have a great game, pounding the Jets defense.

The Rams have to come into this game and play like the better team. Which they are at this point in the season. Sam Bradford has to continue is good play and the defense has to continue to be aggressive and not let up as they did in the 4th quarter, vs the 49ers. Ultimately this game mite be competitive but there is know way the Rams should lose Sunday against the Jets.

This is the first tie in the NFL in four years. Both teams had an opportunity to win the game in overtime, but both kickers missed their field goals.

The Rams got off to a hot start, scoring 14 points in the first quarter. Sam Bradford was hot, Steven Jackson was rolling and the defense protected the lead until the 4th quarter. Sam Bradford was 26/39 for 275 yards and 2 touchdowns. Steven Jackson rushed for 101 yards, on 29 attempts and 1 touchdown. The defense held the 49ers offense to 7 points until the 4th quarter, in which they gave up 17 points.

After losing Alex Smith early in the game, to a concussion the 49ers would rely on backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Frank Gore pounded the Rams and Kaepernick used his feet to engineer a comeback and tie the game up at 24 with a rushing touchdown late in the 4th.

On the opening play of the overtime period, Sam Bradford connected with Danny Amendola on a 80 yard pass play. It looked as if the Rams were in position to win this game with a touchdown in overtime. But the play was called back, due to a illegal formation penalty by the Rams.

The 49ers offense marched down the field and put themselves in position for a game winning field goal. The very reliable David Akers missed a 41 yard field goal attempt, giving the Rams another opportunity to win. Rookie kicker Greg Zurlein gets another opportunity to be the hero for the Rams as he attempted a 53 yard field goal. The kick is up, the kick is good, the kick is denied due to a delay of game penalty. Zurlein would then attempt a 58 yard field goal, which he misses wide.

For the Rams the most that could come out of this game is a moral victory, but the the 49ers who were trying to extend their lead in the NFC west, a tie is like a loss.
