Many National Football League experts have been speculating for years that the Buffalo Bills would move to Los Angeles when their current lease expires in 2012 and now Toronto as of late.

The fact of the matter is that the Bills aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

The only way that the Bills will leave is if there is a brand new stadium just built that is available. The fact is the only two that could be built is in Los Angeles, but those will probably be occupied by the San Diego Chargers and the Minnesota Vikings as both teams look to be gone as current proposals for new stadiums in their current locations have fell through.

Even the Bills themselves stated last year that Ralph Wilson Stadium can out last all of us if it is properly taken care of. Currently, Erie County pays for all the renovations to the stadium with a yearly $2.9 million payment to the team. That means the Bills would easily enter into a new lease if the county and New York State gave them financial guarantees.

Yes, that means the amount that is paid to the Bills will go up. However, even a payment of $10 million a season would be a bargain to have the Bills still play at the Ralph as new stadiums cost at least $800 million. That means the tax payers would be paying $40 million a year over the next 20 years, because the Bills know that they can get whatever they want from the government due to the poor economy of the city.

So, Bills fans what is it that you want to pay? A brand new facility at $40 million a year for the next 20 years or a$10 million a year payment with up to an additional $10 million in stadium improvements for a total cost of $20 million a year for the next 15 years, and still play at the Ralph.

In the end, the Bills best stadium deal after 2012 is still right here at home.

The Buffalo Bills need playmakers on defense so you think that taking Auburn defensive lineman Nick Fairley would be a smart move.

Apparently not as the Bills should pass on him.

In the National Football League a player has to have a burning desire to want to succeed, especially in the early stages in their career. However, if there is any reason that a player doesn’t want to be with a particular team then their development can be greatly compromised.

That would be the case if the Bills took Fairley as according to Chris Brown of the Bills website Fairley has stated that it when asked what team he would like to play for, “it doesn’t matter as long as it is not cold.”

No team at the top of the National Football League Draft is going to take a player if there is any inkling that he doesn’t want to play there. The reason being it would be a complete public relations disaster and would hurt ticket sales greatly.

Fairley’s statement is pretty stupid as after the Carolina Panthers the next warm weather team is the Arizona Cardinals at fifth overall. The next team after that is the Dallas Cowboys at ninth.

That means Fairley would stand to lose millions of dollars with or without a rookie cap.

In the end, the Bills need talented dedicated football players and not dumbasses like Fairley.

Even though many of the Jets starters will see limited action the Jets still should handle them easily.

The difference is that the Bills defense has lost three starters in linebackers Andra Davis and Reggie Torbor, along with defensive end Dwan Edwards. Also, nose tackle Kyle Williams is banged up. That means the Bills defense is in for a heavy dose of the Jets running attack.

That won’t be a surprise as the last time the Jets rushed the football 49 times that game.

The strength of the Bills has been its offense, but it looks like starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will miss the game as he hasn’t taken a snap in practice all week due to a knee injury. That means backup quarterback Brian Brohm will get his first start of the year. Also, the Bills are short on wide receivers as starting wide receiver Lee Evans is done for the year, Donald Jones will miss the game due to a concussion and David Nelson will most likely miss the game due to a rib injury.

In the end, hopefully the Jets will find a way to win as if they do the Bills will solidify themselves a top five pick in April’s upcoming National Football League Draft.

The winner of this game will be the team whose offense is more effective.

The Dolphins defense is one of the best in the National Football League entering Sunday’s contest ranked fifth overall. The Bills defense is ranked 23 thanks to their terrible run defense. However, the Bills proved last week against the Cleveland Browns that they are capable of defending the run much better than what their rank says.

The Dolphins achilles heal has been their quarterback play as Chad Henne has been down right average. If the Dolphins had gotten better play form him they be contending for the division probably.

As for the Bills the offense has been the strength of the team. When the Bills offense is clicking on all cylinders they are a tough team to beat.

In the end, it all comes down to the quarterbacks.

Simply, the team that can over come the elements will win the game.

Ralph Wilson stadium is well known for its wind as the Stadium is not far from Lake Erie and goes from west to east. Also, it is December and that means Lake Erie hasn’t frozen over yet and with a storm coming through rain or snow is going to wreak havoc on the game.

The same two teams also played in a bad snow storm back in 2007 where the Browns won 8-0. Also, last year the pair played a game that many call one of the worst ever as the Browns won 6-3.

In the end, what happens Sunday will depend on what mother nature does.

Even though the Vikings have a record of 4-7 they are still another big test for the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills enter this Sunday looking to redeem themselves after letting a winnable game against the Pittsburgh Steelers literally slip through their grasp. The question is will their never quit attitude still prevail this Sunday.

The Bills may have a record of 2-9, but they are far better than that as they took the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers to overtime. Also, of their other six losses only two were by more than 10 points and those were to the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers.

This game could easily turn into a shoot out considering that Vikings quarterback Brett Farve loves to pass and the Bills offense is better at passing than running.

In the end, there is one guarantee and that is this game will be entertaining.

The question is can the Bills pull off a upset?

The Steelers enter the game with a 7-3 record and a defense that is once again amongst the best in the NFL. The Bills on the other hand come in with one of the worst run defenses in the NFL.

The key to this game will be what the Steelers do on offense. If they decide to pass it more than run then the Bills have a chance. However, if they decide to run the football the majority of the time then this game will not be even close, which also happens to be their strength on offense.

In the end, the only way that the Bills can pull off a upset is if the Steelers get pass happy.

With both teams being so evenly matched it will come down to the unit that makes the most plays.

Both defenses are ranked in the top 15 when it comes to pass defense as the Bills have the edge there as theirs is ranked seventh while the Bengals pass defense is ranked 13. However, the Bengals have the better run defense as theirs is ranked 22 while the Bills are dead last in the league at 32.

On offense the Bengals have the edge in passing as they are ranked eighth while the Bills are 28 in the NFL. In rushing the Bills have the edge as they are ranked 15 while the Bengals are ranked 26.

In the end, this game will come down to whoever can establish their running game.

Many National Football League odds makers have the Buffalo Bills as the favorite by three points over the Detroit Lions.

Simply, the wrong team is favored in this game.

The Bills are favored as the Lions defense is not as good against the pass as the Bills defense is. However, that is not what the difference maker will be.

The Bills defense against the run is just down right terrible as it is the worst I have ever seen in my entire life. In recent years the run defense has been bad, but it only gave up 150 yards a game. This year it is just completely different as they are giving up almost 180 yards a game and before last Sunday they were averaging almost 190 yards a game.

The Lions have a solid running back in rookie Jahvid Best as in eight starts this year he has rushed for 345 yards and four touchdowns on 107 carries. That is not bad considering the highest number of carries he had in a single game was 17.

The reason that is good, even though it is 3.2 yards a carry, is due to the Lions defense not being so good they haven’t led many football games. When a team is behind constantly they have to pass the football a lot, which is why the Lions passing game is ranked so high, besides the obvious talent that they have at the skilled positions.

In the end, the winner will be the team whose defense performs better.

The Buffalo Bills enter Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears with one of the worst run defenses in the history of the National Football League.

However, there is one huge variable and that is Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz who likes to pass a lot, so the question is will his tendency to pass play into the Bills hands?

The Bills may be ranked dead last in run defense at 32 of 32 teams, which one may conclude that is also the case with the pass defense. That could be far from the case as the Bills are sixth in the league in pass defense, and that is without a pass rush.

The Bears strength on offense is their passing game as it is ranked 19 in the National Football League while the running game is ranked 26 in the NFL. Also, the Bears have run 215 passing plays while they have only ran 156 running plays.

If Martz is as good of an offensive coordinator as many may thing then he will put his passion to throw the football aside and realize that the only way they will win is by running the football to death, which will also help the passing game as they would then be able to run play-action passes that will freeze the linebackers for a second, and open passing windows.

In the end, both teams fate is in the hands of the man that is called “Mad Mike.”
