Another Solid Victory
Posted on 2 Oct 2011 by Jon Lopez.
Welcome to another episode of “who's under center now”. I really don't like rotating quarterbacks but Mack Brown seems to have figured something out, He puts Ash “the running QB” in and he throws the ball, then Mack puts McCoy “the throwing QB” in and he hands the ball off. Nobody knows what the hell they're gonna do from play to play. Going into Saturday's...

Huskers Bruise Cowboys On The Ground
Posted on 25 Sep 2011 by Karl Sannicks, II.
The ninth ranked Cornhuskers needed to show a balanced attack going into next week's game against Wisconsin. Nebraska did not disappoint, gaining 333 rushing yards against Wyoming Saturday. Rex Burkhead led the charge for the Huskers with 15 rushes for 170 yards. Taylor Martinez ran for only 37 yards on 12 carries, but passed for 1TD, 157 yards on 12 of 21 passes. Nebraska started the game slug...

That was Longhorn Football
Posted on 18 Sep 2011 by Jon Lopez.
I can't lie, even though I have been asking ( down right begging ) for McCoy to start and for Malcolm Brown to get the ball more I wasn't 100% sure what would happen. How about them Longhorns? That was the best first half I've seen out of them in a year and a half. I loved how the announcers on t.v. kept going on about how young UT is and how you need more experience. They forget it's college...

Nebraska wins, Pelini pleased with progress
Posted on 18 Sep 2011 by Karl Sannicks, II.
Nebraska HC Bo Pelini said he was hoping the Huskers would take what happened in San Diego personally. If the final score, 51-38 is any indication, Nebraska extracted revenge for last year's Holiday Bowl loss to the Washington Huskies. Pelini also said in the post game conference that the Huskers are where he expected, undefeated (3-0) and improving. Nebraska traded blows with the Huskies Satur...

HUSKERS NEED TO GET (N)SYNC
Posted on 15 Sep 2011 by Karl Sannicks, II.
No, we do not need Justin Timberlake and the rest of the pop boy band to reunite in Lincoln this Saturday. But Nebraska sure needs to get their game ratcheted up a notch if they expect to beat the unranked Washington Huskies. The 10th ranked Huskers (2-0) will play Washington (2-0) in rematch from last year's 56-21 victory at Washington and the ill fated 19-7 loss in the Holiday Bowl to (Jake ...

Rough Win
Posted on 11 Sep 2011 by Jon Lopez.
BYU is better than I thought they were. UT looked like a DII school. Gilbert just couldn't get on a roll. Whitaker was going no where. Props to BYU, they came out ready to play. I can't remember how many times I saw players on UT's defense looking at the sidelines as the ball is being snapped. Whats going on there? Gilberts decision making was horrible. Throwing down field into double coverage ...

Good Start

Ok, the Lognhorn Network kinda screwed my out of seeing the first game but I did catch some of it online ( thanks Jason ) so I have to go on what little I saw and the numbers. Gilbert didn't impress me but I did like what I saw. completion percentage needs to come up but hey, we got used to Colt completing 80% of his passes so in all fairness Gilbert doesn't have to be that good. Gilbert's po...

Nebraska stunned in role reversal
Posted on 31 Dec 2010 by Darshan Patel.
Many people picked this game to be one of the less attractive matchups and outcomes. Nebraska seemed convincing during their romp of Washington in September. But, this was a different story. This was an ugly performance by Nebraska. The Huskies had no turnovers, allowed no sacks, and committed only three penalties. They played physical, yet discipline. Washington knocked out Taylor Martinez wit...

Nebraska, Washington rematch at the Holiday Bowl
Posted on 26 Dec 2010 by Darshan Patel.
No. 17 Nebraska and Washington will meet on December 30 for the second time this season at the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl in San Diego. These two teams played back in September with Taylor Martinez and Nebraska passing all over the Huskies defense. This seems to be a one-sided matchup if Nebraska’s offensive line shows up to play. Being able to give freshman Martinez a chance to step ...
