Huskers-B-Gone
Posted on 4 Dec 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
Goodbye Husker nation! No more BIG 12, no more classic OU-Nebraska games, and no more argument about who is the true Big Red. All because the Cornhuskers think that they are going to make more money in the Big Ten??? Whatever Nebraska! I want to say good riddance but I am going to miss beating up on the Cornhuskers and letting them know who the real Big Red is!!! Run off Nebraska, g...

Don’t call it Bedlam
Posted on 29 Nov 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
Don’t call it Bedlam and don’t call it a rivalry! The Oklahoma vs. OSU series is not something I would describe as a rivalry. When the series is led by OU 84 to 16 with 7 ties, Sooner fans don’t consider it a rivalry. OU vs. Texas, now that is a rivalry because the series is actually pretty close. OU vs. Nebraska, that is a rivalry. Oklahoma vs. OSU, this is not a rivalry. ...

A different Sooner team
Posted on 15 Nov 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
The Oklahoma team that took the field on Saturday and dismantled the Red Raiders was a completely different team than the one who lost a week ago to Texas A&M. The Sooners in Norman look unbeatable. The whole team seems to be playing at the top of their game inside Memorial Stadium in front of the 87,000 Sooner fans. I just don’t understand it? Landry Jones plays like he’s...

Absolutely embarrassing!
Posted on 7 Nov 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
Today's performance by the Oklahoma Sooners was absolutely embarrassing! Starting the game with a safety on the very first snap is ridiculous! One safety, two stops on 4th and goal from the one, a dropped TD pass, and a missed field goal …how could any team expect to win the game. Landry Jones performance was terrible. I didn't even recognize the Sooner QB, surely not the same guy...

Sooner chances of getting to the title game??
Posted on 3 Nov 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
As I was looking through the final few weeks of the college football schedule, I saw that my Sooners are not yet out of the BCS Title chase. If Oklahoma wins out, going on the road to College Station against A&M, at home vs. Texas Tech, on the road to Waco against Baylor, and two hours north to Stillwater against Oklahoma State in the annual Bedlam matchup. If we can do that, then the S...

Sooners bounce back
Posted on 1 Nov 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
Oklahoma started Saturday’s game against Colorado a little slow, but soon found their rhythm. It took almost a full quarter of play for Landry Jones to get the Sooner offense going and once he did, the game was all but over quickly. Jones threw for 453 yards and 4 TDs to become number two in the Oklahoma record books for single game yardage. Ryan Broyles...

4th Quarter Woes
Posted on 24 Oct 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
Once again the Oklahoma defense shut down in the fourth quarter but this time it cost them the game. Just as I said a few weeks ago, the Sooners’ 4th quarter woes would cost them a game and thus the #1 ranking. They did it against Utah State, Air Force, Cincy, and Texas. I really don’t see why OU, namely the defense, is playing so poorly in the fourth quarter. Oklahoma has been ...

Oklahoma vs Oregon rematch??
Posted on 20 Oct 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
After I saw the initial BCS rankings come out, I hoped and I prayed that both Oregon and OU finish out their seasons undefeated. Because if they do, then the most likely scenario is that the Sooners will take on the Ducks in the title game. As an OU fan who cannot get over the cheating/heist/or whatever you want to call it, where the Oregon Ducks screwed the Sooners in Eugene in 2006....

Sooners back on top!!!
Posted on 19 Oct 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
That is how Oklahoma plays football! And that is what Sooner fans are used to seeing!! Saturday's 52-0 beatdown of Iowa State was a beautiful site to see. Granted it was Iowa State (a mediocre team) but the Sooners could not have played any better on either side of the ball. Thirty-seven first downs, over 670 yards of total offense, along with 52 points …the Sooners were play...

Murray’s big day??
Posted on 14 Oct 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
DeMarco Murray is 2 TDs away from tying Steve Owens' school record for most career touchdowns. This guy is simply a beast! Fifty-five TDs in a career slowed down by injury after injury. Imagine what DeMarco could have done for us in the BCS title game agaist Florida, or against West Virginia in the Fiesta Bowl??? All that aside, this guy is going to break the OU career touchdowns recor...

5-0 and no class for Sooners!!!
Posted on 3 Oct 2010 by Shaun Sawyer.
Tuck Fexas!!! Yeah Sooners, we are 5-0 and that is all that matters!! Four of our five wins have not been pretty but a win is a win, I'll take it. In keeping with tradition, OU president David Boren gave OU students Monday off. Traditionally the winner of the Red River Rivalry has classes canceled the following Monday. DeMarco Murray, Landry Jones, and Ryan Broyles all had great games...
