What’s at Stake- Temple at Miami (OH) Preview
Posted on 22 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
This is an important game for the Owls when it comes to bowl implications. With the MAC Title no longer at stake, it'll be interesting to see how Temple comes out. The MAC is affiliated with three bowls, but the conference can always send more teams as some of the major conferences don't always fill their bowl slots. You saw that last season with Temple as they were to Washington to play ...

Detroit Will Have to Wait Another Year- Ohio Defeats Temple 31-23
Posted on 17 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
Al Golden wants to establish a program. The last thing he wants to be is a one hit wonder. To paraphrase, he stated that many of the bowl teams, whether it's the MAC, WAC or Sun Belt may win a bowl game, but not establish the program. On to last night, the first play of the game summarized the entire game. Bernard Pierce busted a long 67-yard run down the left sideline, but came up...

The Road to Detroit Begins- Ohio at Temple Preview
Posted on 15 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
Last year, these two teams met with the MAC East division title on the line. The Bobcats defeated the Owls 35-17 on their home turf in the last game of the regular season. This time these two teams meet at the Linc on Temple's home turf. Both teams come into this game playing well. Ohio has won six in a row after a sloppy 1-3 start. Temple has won four straight, but have outscored their...

Anyone Know Where to Find Owls Football Streams?
Posted on 9 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
Sometimes it's really tough to be a Temple football fan because many of the games aren't shown on television, like this past week. Obviously, when the games are in Philly I'm there. So, I'm sorry but I can't recap a game that I didn't watch or could find online. All I can say is that I predicted it to be 31-13, and it was 28-10. I didn't miss the score by much. The only things that you ca...

Don’t Look Ahead

The Mac East will most likely be decided in Temple’s final two games against Ohio and Miami (Oh). But. If Kent State wins this game, all of a sudden they hold the tiebreaker over Temple. The Golden Flashes are currently 3-2 in the Mac. The Owls have been on a roll the last two weeks with back to back shutout wins over Buffalo and Akron. They won by a combined score of 72-0. The Kent...

Temple Zeroes in on a Mac Crown
Posted on 2 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
For the second consecutive week, the Owls defense pitched a shutout. It's the first time that Temple has posted back to back shutouts since 1971 where they blanked Uconn and Xavier. The Owls extended their home winning streak to ten. It took a half before the Owls got the offense going. Temple scored just six points before the intermission. In the 2nd half, the Owls exploded for 24 ...

Four Games Left
Posted on 30 Oct 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
When you look at the Temple football schedule, you'll see that there are four games remaining. It's very easy to look ahead at the final two games between Ohio and at Miami (Oh). Before the Owls get to those crucial matchups, they have to play Akron at home, and play Kent State on the road. This Akron game has trap game written all over it, but the talent disparity between both tea...

Temple Bulls over Buffalo
Posted on 25 Oct 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
42-0, wow. Over the last couple of weeks the Owls haven't played their best football. That changed after an impressive performance on Saturday. All facets of the Temple football team showed up. The Owls saw a change at starting quarterback. Mike Jerardi got the nod at starting quarterback over Chester Stewart. Jerardi went 9/15 for 131 yards and three touchdowns. He did throw two ...

Temple at Buffalo Preview and a Look at Last Week
Posted on 21 Oct 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
TEMPLE/BOWLING GREEN THOUGHTS I've been extremely busy over the last week, and I could never get around to covering last week's game between Temple and Bowling Green. So I will provide you with some thoughts here. The Owls are playing their worst football of the season thus far. They really had no business winning that Bowling Green game, BUT THEY FOUND A WAY TO WIN. This wouldn't have ha...

Temple Fans- Let Me Introduce You to Chris Coyer
Posted on 11 Oct 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
With about eight minutes to play, the Owls got down 31-17 after a Chad Spann 6-yard touchdown. You knew at that very moment that Temple was done. No way was Chester Stewart going to lead us back. Nevertheless, it was a well played game and I wouldn’t be surprised if these two meet again in Detroit for the MAC Championship. Let’s get back to Stewart. The Temple offense is predicated ...

Temple (4-1) at Northern Illinois (3-2) Preview
Posted on 8 Oct 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
(I'm now on twitter, you can follow me @AdrianFedkiw, don't be afraid to ask me anything) Heading into regular season play three teams stood out in the MAC; Temple, Central Michigan and Northern Illinois. The Owls already took out the Chippewas in a 13-10 overtime brawl. Central Michigan went on and lost another game in the MAC to go to 1-2 in conference play. Northern Illinois is a very im...

Comparing Bernard Pierce and Matt Brown / Army Recap
Posted on 5 Oct 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
Matt Brown had a career day, 28 carries 226 yards and four touchdowns. The amazing performance was good enough to the MAC Player of the Week Award. Temple came back from a 28-13 deficit on Army’s homecoming to take the game 42-35. Brown had a sensational afternoon, and I feel like this is the perfect time to talk about the Pierce and Brown duo and how they complement one another. Many...
