Ducks Fly Past #9 Stanford
Posted on 3 Oct 2010 by Ryan Frank.
Early on in this heavyweight battle things didn't look very good for the Oregon Ducks, Stanford went up 21-3 early. Led by the cool, calm, and collective young Quarterback Andrew Luck, the Cardinals drove down the field almost untouched and scored at will. The noise at Autzen didn't seem to bother the young Luck. He completed his first 6 passes, one for a TD and also ran in for a TD all in the ...

Timber! #4 Ducks Cut Down #9 Stanford 52-31
Posted on 3 Oct 2010 by Rob Parness.
On a warm and sunny day in Autzen Stadium when the game between #4 Oregon and #9 Stanford began, the first half was anything but beautiful for the home-standing Ducks. Stanford took advantage of a few early Oregon turnovers and an overpowering offensive line to race out to a 21-3 lead in the first half. Stanford Quarterback Andrew Luck seemed to be in complete control early, and the powerful ru...

New Oregon Music Video!
Posted on 1 Oct 2010 by Rob Parness.
The boys of “supwitchugirl” are back and with a much bigger budget. The band formulated of 3 University of Oregon students burst onto the scene last year when they made their video “I Smell Roses” prior to the Civil War game against Oregon State. They made the video with the simple intention of putting it on the student broadcasting network for the television program ...

Redemption Mission for #4 Ducks vs #9 Stanford
Posted on 30 Sep 2010 by Rob Parness.
They say that memories are a powerful thing to the human mind. Some are easily forgotten, and others stay with you whether you want them to or not. Only one type of memory is more dominant than a good experience; A bad experience. So there should be no doubt about the fact that the 4th ranked Oregon Ducks have not forgotten about the 51-42 loss at the hands of the Stanford Cardinal last season ...

ASU vs OSU Preview
Posted on 30 Sep 2010 by Leslie Charles.
ASU has been teasing us these last two weeks. Against two very capable ranked opponents in Wisconsin and Oregon respectively, the Sun Devils have played 6 quarters of great football. The Devils defense held both teams to well below their season averages and kept each team off the field for significant amounts of time. However in two games 8 quarters of football must be played. And unfor...

Stanford Cardinal Football Preview: Battle for Control of the PAC-10
Posted on 30 Sep 2010 by Donovan Williams.
The last time the Stanford Cardinal cracked the top 10 of the Associated Press poll, Jim Harbaugh was waning on the Carolina Panther bench in the final season of his otherwise respectable NFL career. Stanford’s stay in the top 10 back in 2001 was a brief one. They fell out of the top 10 the following week after a loss to Washington. Rest assured, Jim Harbaugh is looking to keep the Cardinal i...

While Arizona Rests, the Pac-10 Will Shine
Posted on 30 Sep 2010 by Henry Childs.
With Arizona having the week off, I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the other Pac-10 matchups for this weekend. While the Wildcats relax, here’s a quick peek at this weeks conference games. Washington State (1-3) at UCLA (2-2) After losing it’s opening game to Kansas State and getting blown out at home against Stanford, UCLA looks like a completely different team. Two week...

Game of the Week! #4 Oregon vs #9 Stanford!
Posted on 30 Sep 2010 by Ryan Frank.
This game is going to be the most exciting match-up in College Football. 2 top 10 teams, both with young impressive Quarterbacks, and young impressive Running Backs. Some of the best young talent will be on display at Autzen Stadium Saturday night. Andrew Luck looks to make his first appearance at Autzen, a place that has taken many of the best Quarterbacks down. The Place will be rocking and e...

This weeks Craigslist ad in Seattle said this: Wanted: A football team that will not bow to the Trojans of USC. Rewards included one of year of free coffee at Starbucks and a limited edition of ”Frasier” DVDs along with a Jack Sikma giant cardboard cutout. So far no response. USC heads to South Central Los Angeles this weekend for a game with that other Washington program. Unli...

Post-game thoughts: Arizona vs. California
Posted on 27 Sep 2010 by Henry Childs.
Well that was…different. Arizona, who beat then-#10 Iowa last week, struggled mightily to beat California in its Pac-10 opener 10-9 on Saturday. That’s right. 10-9. Is that the type of game a potential conference contender plays in? A game full of offensive miscues, turnovers, and penalties across the board? Not only does every contender play in a game or two like these each season. But gre...

UCLA 34 – Texas 12
Posted on 26 Sep 2010 by Sergio Paredes.
Break up the Bruins!!! Universities located in Texas should avoid UCLA on their schedule. For the second time in as many weeks, an underdog UCLA team upset a major university from the state of Texas and top 25 school. Maybe the Bruins should leave the Pac 10 and join the Big 12. Congratulations to UCLA on scoring the biggest upset of the weekend. How they won with a quarterback passing for an o...
