Bills release Young and acquire Jackson
Posted on 27 Aug 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
Remember those who thought Vince Young would replace Ryan Fitzpatrick as the Bills starting quarterback? Well, worry no longer because the 2006 rookie of the year has been released. Â It appeared that Young couldn't effectively run the offense and with no touchdowns and 2 interceptions, releasing him was the next logical step. Farewell Young! The empty roster slot was filled quickly with theÂ...

Mistakes Plague Buffalo in Preseason Loss
Posted on 27 Aug 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
Get your S**T together Buffalo. I have been telling you that it is only the preseason and not to worry, but after their 38-7 loss to Pittsburgh, Buffalo is still searching for a win in the preseason, leaving me a little worried. They better get their turnover issues in check if they want to start the season off with a win. The biggest factor for the loss was the two interceptions and one fumble...

Lights Out! Merriman Released from Bills
Posted on 20 Aug 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
I guess I'm not surprised that Shawne Merriman was released today from Buffalo. In 2 years he only started 5 games and recorded 1 sack. He claimed at the beginning of training camp that he felt great and that his speed had returned but my guess is that with the history with injuries and lack of production in the 2 preseason games led to his release. I was looking forward to seeing what he could...

No Worries Bills Fans, It’s still the Preseason
Posted on 20 Aug 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
So the Bills lost 36-14 to the Vikings, big whoop! If the Bills would have won I would have said the same thing. The preseason is merely a formality and it's primary functions are to get the players back in football form, make adjustments to your rosters, fine tune plays and get fans excited about the upcoming season. So what did we learn from this game? Fitzpatrick had a good game going 8/11,...

Bills Drop First Preseason Game
Posted on 10 Aug 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
BORING! That's the best way to describe the Bills 7-6 loss against the Washington Redskins. This was a penalty riddled affair that saw Buffalo commit 14 penalties for 134 yards. The Bills may have won this game if it wasn't for an illegal formation penalty negating a 20 yard Stevie Johnson touchdown, but these types of thing will happen in the first game back. If you're going to have these type...

Bills Camp Underway
Posted on 31 Jul 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
To say that Bills players are impressed with their newest teammate Mario Williams  is an understatement.  During a play at camp, Fitzpatrick barely go the ball handed off to Jackson when he was abruptly met by Super Mario. Jackson joked and said “I think Mario could've taken the handoff before I did.” Even big man Marcell Dareus had this to say about Williams, ”He has t...

Fred Jackson Signed to Contract Extension
Posted on 7 May 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
The Bills can now add Fred Jackson to the list players they needed to lock down before the season starts. Jackson's season got cut short with a broken leg, but many believe he would have broken club records too. The Bills have their offensive and defensive superstars locked down for several years, so now they can leave all distractions and excuses at the door and bring this team their first pla...

Bills Draft Class of 2012
Posted on 30 Apr 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
Gilmore will fill that gap in the defense that's been needed for a couple of seasons now. But should the Bills have picked DT Fletcher Cox or a secondary receiver like Michael Floyd. I guess we'll soon find out 6'5″, 343 pounds! If he gets to start this year, I'm sure opposing teams will have a hard time getting past him. Great pick in my mind, something the Bills certainly needed and...

Bills get their man in Stephon “Happy” Gilmore
Posted on 27 Apr 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
I must admit that I don't watch, read or research on NCAA football but I have a good feeling that the Bills 1st round draft pick CB Stephon Gilmore from South Carolina was the right choice. Buffalo gave up on average 7.7 yards per pass last year, hopefully Gilmore will be able to close some of those gaps. I'm looking forward to see what this kid can do. With the addition of Williams, Anderson a...

Top 5 Free Agent Busts and TWIBN
Posted on 2 Apr 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
Not much news from the Bills this week, the biggest would be the re-signing of RB Tashard Choice. I'm happy for him, however, he would only see action if either Spiller or Jackson get hurt, and we certainly don't want that. Â Here are other tidbits for the week: Offensive Tackle Demetrius Bell visited with the Eagles and may not return to the Bills, this has started me thinking that Buffalo ha...

This Week in Bills News and the Top 5 Are Back
Posted on 26 Mar 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
Probably the biggest week in Bills history since Drew Bledsoe came to town in 2002? Ralph Wilson had opened up his pocket book and is ready to spend all his money in hopes Buffalo makes the playoffs before it's too late. He had this to say about the Williams signing, “I’d like to see us make the playoffs and possibly the Super Bowl while I’m around,” Wilson told the Buffalo News. He g...

Bills Welcome Super Mario To Buffalo
Posted on 15 Mar 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
How exciting for Bills fans! Free agent LB Mario Williams signs with Buffalo today. The terms of the deal have not been finalized but it appears looks to be worth $96 million- $50 guaranteed for 6 six years. What does this mean for Buffalo? I can't express how excited I am to finally see a player in their prime come to Buffalo. Not only is this encouraging for fans but leaves us optimistic tha...
