GOOD START FOR THE BENGALS
Posted on 11 Aug 2012 by Reginald Marcellus.
The Cincinnati Bengals kicked off the pre-season last night at home against the New York Jets. It took the Bengals till the 2nd quarter to put any points on the board in a 17-6 win, but from the minute the ball was kicked off they showed an all around team effort. Both Andy Dalton and Bruce Gradkowski started the offense on the right note, completing on 4/9 and 5/10 passes to six different rece...

The Streak Continues, Tied for First
Posted on 7 Nov 2011 by Derrick Blyberg.
“Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs. Are you kidding me? Playoffs?” said former NFL coach Jim Mora. Most of the football world would have reacted the same way (including myself) as Coach Mora when the 2011 Cincinnati Bengals were mentioned in the same breath as potential playoff teams before this season. As cliche as it is, games are certainly not played on paper. The Beng...

Week 8 Preview

Follow me on Twitter: @DBLY4 The end of October could mean the start of something great in Cincinnati. For the first time in two seasons, the Bengals have the chance to win their fourth consecutive game. The Bengals (4-2) are a hot topic around the National Football League this week as they look to continue their current win streak against the 2-4 Seattle Seahawks. Cincy has won the last thr...

Dalton Improves in Second Game
Posted on 22 Aug 2011 by Derrick Blyberg.
The Bengals suffered their second preseason loss in blowout fashion Sunday night, losing 27-7 to the New York Jets. An ugly first quarter from QB Andy Dalton and company led to a quick 10-0 Jets lead headlined by a 16 yard TD pass from Mark Sanchez to Santonio Holmes. Dalton bounced back in the second quarter to lead the Bengal offense to their first TD of the preseason, but the stingy ...

Getting Ready for the Blooper Bowl- Bengals/Bills Preview
Posted on 20 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
It's undoubtedly the worst match up of the NFL weekend as the Bills head to Paul Brown Stadium to take on the Bengals. The biggest storyline coming into the game is Terrell Owens as he's set to square off against his former squad. It's crazy the difference a year makes. Just a year ago, everyone felt that Owens was washed up. Now, He ranks third in the NFL with 834 receiving yards, and is...

Bengals Fall to 0-7 Against Peyton Manning- Lose 6th Straight
Posted on 15 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
For the second consecutive week, the Bengals got into a big hole early, and were unable to climb out. The Colts put the first 17 points on the board en route to a 23-17 win over Cincinnati. The Bengals defense did a pretty good job against Peyton Manning, but the Bengals offense turned the ball over 5 times. Carson Palmer threw three picks, and Cedric Benson and Jermaine Gresham each fum...

Cincinnati at Indianapolis Preview
Posted on 14 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
The Bengals have never beaten the Colts with Peyton Manning at the helm for Indianapolis. I don't expect that trend to be broken. Manning is 6-0 against Cincinnati, throwing 17 touchdowns and just three picks. It seems like the whole Colts team is on I.R., but as long as Manning and Wayne are in the starting lineup, that's seemingly all that matters for Indy. You can only say so much abo...

Another Day, Another Loss
Posted on 10 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
On the opening kickoff the Bengals Bernard Scott fumbled and turned it over to Pittsburgh. The Steelers capitalized immediately with Rashard Mendenhall 1-yard touchdown plunge. On the ensuing Bengals possession, Cincinnati was forced to punt. William Gay got through and blocked the punt. Just like that, the Bengals were down 10-0 and it was over. Yes, the Bengals fought until the end,...

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati MNF Preview
Posted on 7 Nov 2010 by Adrian Fedkiw.
The Bengals are in shambles. They've lost four in a row. The defense has been a huge disappointment this season. The front seven is generating no pass rush whatsoever, and the injury bug has hit most of the secondary. The offense has not been able to use a balanced attack because they always seem to be down 14 points. But, this is a Monday Night game against an AFC North rival. What I sta...

Bengals Lose 4th in a Row

The Dolphins remain undefeated on the road (4-0) by dispatching the Bengals 22-14. In my opinion, I think the Dolphins are the most underrated team in the NFL. For the second consecutive week, PK Dan Carpenter nailed five field goals for Miami. They lost last week, but picked up the win this past week. The Miami red-zone offense must improve moving forward. It was a tale of two halves ...

Miami at Cincinnati Preview

The Dolphins are the complete opposite of the norm. They win on the road, but struggle at home. The struggling Bengals will square off against the Fins in Cincinnati tomorrow. Miami is 3-0 on the road, but are a winless 0-3 at home. Miami quarterback Chad Henne has emerged as one of the more underrated signal callers in the league. Of course when you have an athletic and mammoth target t...

Bengals Fall to 2-4

The combination of Matt Ryan and Roddy White manhandled the Bengals defense. The Falcons offensive line gave Ryan time to throw, and Ryan picked the Bengals apart. The highlight of the game came when Matt Ryan threw a perfectly placed moonball off his back foot to White for a 46-yard score. White caught 11 balls for 201 yards and two touchdowns, while Ryan was 24/33 for 299 yards and three touc...
