Colts Dealing Out Peyton?
Posted on 17 Jan 2012 by Steven Keys.
Peyton Manning is in unfamiliar territory. For the first time in his long, accomplished career, the NFL’s version of John Wayne is unsure what his future holds. If there’s any truth to recent media reports Peyton’s employers are seriously considering handing him his hat anytime soon. It makes me think a little of Jodie Foster. That’s right, Ms. Foster, the Academy Award winning actress ...

Winless Colts Continue Streak
Posted on 12 Dec 2011 by Jake Kores.
Let's face it, this team is taking the 1st pick of the 2012 draft, and running away with it. They continue to lose, show no signs of taking control of a game, (or even a quarter) and no matter how much promise they may show, can't seem to dig one out in 2011. It's just not happening. Terrell Suggs, had 3 sacks and forced 3 fumbles for Baltimore, who harassed the Colts pass protection all game l...

Colts pursuit of first win
Posted on 7 Dec 2011 by Jake Kores.
The Indianapolis Colts added two players to their roster Tuesday. The team (0-12) added defensive back Brandon King and linebacker Kevin Bentley and placed Defensive Tackle Drake Nevis on Injured reserve. Peyton Manning is still a hopeful, after his second evaluation in late November by Dr. Robert Watkins reporting: “X-ray and CT examination of the surgical area shows that the fusion perf...

PKs: NFL’s Rodney Dangerfields
Posted on 26 Aug 2011 by Steven Keys.
It’s that time of year again. Time when baseball’s playoff picture takes shape, tennis & golf are winding down and gridiron gladiators are thrown to the lions of summer heat. Mixed in among the 330 lb. linemen and backfield tanks are the NFL kickers, place & punt. As crucial to team success as any linebacker or go-to receiver, kickers too are getting back into football form, looseni...

Colts Rams Recap
Posted on 15 Aug 2011 by Nick Clason.
It's that time of year again, when the Colts are terrible, and no one gives it a second thought. In fact the Colts have lost 24 of their last 28 preseason games. The preseason record is far from indicative of their regular season record. The Colts have won ten games or more every season since 2001. In other words, no need to fear the beat down taken by the Rams. There are a few positive...

Defensive Line
Posted on 8 Aug 2011 by Nick Clason.
Who will be in the starting lineup on the Defensive Line? From what I've read and been seeing there is plenty of depth on the line for the Indianapolis Colts. Obviously Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis are back to back Pro Bowl selections and will be starters on the end. Jerry Hughes is also looking very good as a pass rush option. With Mathis' contract coming to an end, and Freeney gett...

I've officially been a blogger now for 7 months, and I want to thank you, my readers, for making it a successful and enjoyable endeavor. My plan was to make my 100th post displaying my top 10 articles ever written, however I wrote my 99th on Jamaal Anderson, 100th on Ernie Sims, and 101st on Tommie Harris. All the free agents came in at once and it cause me to breeze past it. Anyway, now t...

Tommie Harris
Posted on 2 Aug 2011 by Nick Clason.
This was the one move I was hoping for. Tommie Harris has signed a one year deal with the Indianapolis Colts. Harris a perfect fit coming over from Chicago's Tampa Two style defense was once widely considered to be one of the league's top interior lineman. Harris has been plagued by injuries over the past couple of seasons. This is a perfect opportunity for a “Booger MacFarland̶...

Ernie Sims
Posted on 2 Aug 2011 by Nick Clason.
Ernie Sims is another free agent pickup by the Colts. I like this pickup a little bit better than Jamaal Anderson to be honest. Sims was originally drafted 9th overall by the Detroit Lions in 2006. Last season Sims spent the year in Philadelphia. In 5 seasons Sims has recorded 329 total tackles, with his best overall season being 2007, his second season with Detroit, where he recorded...

Jamaal Anderson
Posted on 2 Aug 2011 by Nick Clason.
Jamaal Anderson Anderson, the 8th overall pick by the Falcons in 2007 has registered 4.5 sacks in 4 seasons. I'm not sure where Anderson fits with the Colts. He is a freakish athlete at 6'6″ and 290 lbs, but his position in which he was drafted was defensive end. I'm not even sure if Anderson would make the DE rotation with Freeney, Mathis, and ever Jerry Hughes. He could come out...
