Patriots Win in Sloppy Fashion
Posted on 27 Sep 2010 by David Reid.
The Patriots were expected to blow-out the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, but ended up winning by only 8 points. The Bills are a below-average team and The Patriots made them look like an upper tier team. The Bills offense looked great as did their special teams. Ryan Fitzpatrick looked like a top-10 QB when certainly he is not. Rookie C.J. Spiller returned a kick-off for a TD while embarrassing the ...

Patriots Look to Cruise to 2-1
Posted on 24 Sep 2010 by David Reid.
In Week 3, The Patriots will be facing a much easier opponent than in their first two games, The Buffalo Bills. No team in the NFL can be taken for granted, but The Bills have absolutely nothing going well for them. This week they look to backup QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to run the offense. Rookie C.J. Spiller has not done anything with the touches he has been getting, so The Bills are looking to giv...

Patriots Outmatched by Rival Jets
Posted on 20 Sep 2010 by David Reid.
The Patriots came into Week 2 looking to improve to 2-0. After an impressive win against the Bengals, The Patriots had high hopes for this week. Unfortunately, they were not able to pull off a win losing 28-14 to The Jets. Everything was looking good to start. Brady threw 2 TD passes in the first half to Welker and Moss. After that, the offense really cooled down. Brady ended up going 20-36 for...

Patriots look to take advantage of confused Jets D
Posted on 17 Sep 2010 by David Reid.
The Patriots are looking to improve to 2-0 after an impressive win over the defending AFC North champion Bengals. However, this week will certainly not be any easier considering they are playing their rivals, The New York Jets. Unlike The Patriots, The Jets had a very disappointing Week 1 losing 10-9 to the Ravens. After watching HBO’s Hard Knocks The Jets were looking like the real deal and ...

Pats Look Good in Week 1
Posted on 13 Sep 2010 by David Reid.
Things are looking pretty good in New England. The Pats came out firing in Week 1 versus the Cincinnati Bengals. Wes Welker had ACL surgery this past year? It sure did not look like it. Welker played like he always has for the Pats even with a recently repaired knee. He finished the game with 8 catches for 64 yards and 2 TDs. Opposite of him is the notoriously talented Randy Moss who caught 5...

Unpredicta-BILL!!
Posted on 23 Apr 2010 by Jason Smalley.
As I watched the 2010 NFL drafts 1st Round unfold, I know I felt much like the rest of Patriot Nation- who are the Patriots going to take at pick #2?. One pick after another went by, some were surprising- according to the draft experts(I use that term loosely)- I noticed a name that wasn't being called and that was WR Dez Bryant, and by pick #16 realized he may be available at #22 for the Patri...

The great mystery of the Patiots drafts
Posted on 20 Apr 2010 by Jason Smalley.
With the 2010 NFL Draft just a few days away I decided to take a look at the drafts of the last ten years, otherwise known as the Belichick era. It can only be described as a mixed bag. Obviously, they have made some outstanding draft picks, including in Bill's first year with Tom Brady in the 6th round, but that one is pretty well known by now. Let's not forget they have made some terrible p...

At the Stroke of Midnight
Posted on 4 Mar 2010 by Jason Smalley.
At 12midnight tonight, March 5, the 2010 free agent period officially begins and the New England Patriots are a team with some holes to fill. The question remains: will they be big players or small players in the market? History has shown that they prefer several mid-level moves rather than one big signing, but with the prospect of an uncapped year, will they decide to break the bank or conti...

Patriots Wil(not)fork over the money for Vince
Posted on 18 Feb 2010 by Jason Smalley.
The New England Patriots and Vince Wilfork do not seem to be on the same page heading into this off-season’s free agency. With about a week left before the deadline for teams to place a franchise tag on a player, it is my opinion that the Patriots will do just that to Wilfork and I don’t blame them. There are several reasons why I feel the Brain Trust at Patriot Place will franchise...

The Blame Game

First let me introduce myself, seeing that this is my first submission in the Blogosphere. I’m Jay, a husband, father of one with one on the way, and a Patriots fan. But more importantly, I’m a football fan, so I believe I look at this team in a more objective way (with a touch of homer-ism). Hopefully you will enjoy reading my blog and please feel free to comment, agree or disagree...

Jets Harass and Down Patriots
Posted on 20 Sep 2009 by Nich Hall.
Sunday afternoon was more of the same for the Patriots. Just like early last week against Buffalo the Patriots offense was ineffective when it mattered most. Tom Brady and the offense were in the redzone twice and had to settle for field goals. At halftime the Jets trailed only 9-3 after Brady and rookie Julian Edelman just missed hooking up for a a touchdown inside the Jets 15-yard line. All...

Pats pick it up late, escape with 25-24 win
Posted on 15 Sep 2009 by Nich Hall.
Last night certainly had a different feel than most people were expecting and all that credit falls on the Bills. For 55 minutes Buffalo’s no huddle offense and bend but don’t break defense stymied the Patriots. Seemingly all-night the Patriots were just a little off their game. Brady would have Moss or Welker open in the flat but for whatever reason they just couldn’t connect...
