Skins pickup more D in Supplemental draft

The Washington Redskins scored DE Jeremy Jarmon from Kentucky in yesterday's supplemental draft. Jarmon could not play with Kentucky in his senior year due to a failed drug test (banned diuretic), but now he's in the NFL. Jarmon recorded the third highest # of sacks in Kentucky history.

Haynesworth Pleads No Contest and Gets Probation

Newly acquired DT Albert Haynesworth pleaded no contest against his December 13 car accident, when he tried to pass another car, and has been sentenced to probation, plus 25 hours of community service, $5,000 charitable donation and driving school.

Sean Taylor Trial Delayed AGAIN

For the third time, the murder trial for slain Redskin Safety Sean Taylor has been delayed until January 2010. The four accused *&^#@$ are being held without bail. The fifth @$ previously pleaded guilty to avoid a life sentence, but is now trying to back out of the deal (he was going to cooperate with prosecuters). Let them all rot! Sean would have been 26 years old this past April.

OTA 2 Minute Drills – Defense Dominates

No surprises here. The first-team offense is dominated by the powerful first-team defense and was unable to score any points in the 2-minute drills. The only scoring by the offense was by the third-team offense with Colt Brennan. Also no surprise with Jim Zorn's OTAs are injuries. OT Mike Williams received a knee injury. The Washington Redskins have signed former Panther free agent OL Jeremy Bridges. He participated in the mini camps over the weekend and was described by Zorn as being a “bright spot.” Bridges is a 6 year veteran who played the last 3 years with the Carolina Panthers at guard and tackle.
