A Cut Above, or Below…
Posted on 31 Jan 2009 by Dan Rakusan.
The TPC at Scottsdale (FBR Open) is the event that in my personal opinion signals the start of a new PGA Tour season. It's not that I don't love the two events in Hawaii, or the Bob Hope Celebrity Pro-Am events, as I believe those are the perfect pallet engaging events to get primed for the real season to begin. I simply think the Scottsdale event is the first one of the season that...

Bob Hope Chrysler Classic
Posted on 21 Jan 2009 by Dan Rakusan.
There are few events in sports that actually transcend into the world of “regular” people, but the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic does just that. This event is a 5 round event played on 4 courses (at least at the beginning), and features some big names. The event itself actually counts for the golfers, but the celebrity pro-am is what the fans pay to see. Ironically, one person who mig...

This past week, Williams was quoted by a New Zealand newspap...

Canadians Shut Out At Q-School
Posted on 12 Dec 2008 by Dan Rakusan.
Even though it's winter-like out there, especially in Ottawa, there's still golfing being played in places with warmer climes. The most important event of the PGA Tour's offseason recently concluded, which was the gruelling six day Q-School, where players battle it out for their PGA Tour Cards. When it's all said and done, it looks like Mike Weir and Stephen Ames will remai...
