Vote Alfred Morris for Ground Player of the YEAR
Posted on 18 Jan 2013 by Mercedes Green.
Rookie sensation Alfred Morris is up for the FedEx Ground Player of the YEAR. He's up against Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch. Being in the rankings of those 2 alone is quite the accomplishment, especially being a rookie! RG3 didn't make the cut, which I don't get. Brady, Rodgers and Manning (Peyton) are up for the FedEx Air Player of the year, even though RG3 won it twice, Brady 3, Ro...

More Redskin Awards!
Posted on 3 Jan 2013 by Mercedes Green.
I am happiest about this one. LB London Fletcher has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month! He recorded 3 interceptions, 2 sacks and 51 tackles. Congratulations London! Now why the heck did you fans not vote him into the Pro Bowl? Really??!! As for the Offense, Rookie Alfred Morris ended the regular season as the FedEx Ground Player of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Week! ...

Redskins Win NFC East!
Posted on 31 Dec 2012 by Mercedes Green.
Not only did the Washington Redskins win the NFC East but they took the Cowboys out of the playoffs. 2 birds 1 stone. This is the first divisional title in 13 years. The Redskins are also the only team to make the playoffs after starting 3-6 since the Jaguars in 1996. So how did they do it? The defense for starters. The picked off 3 Tony Romo passes, which easily could have been a co...

3 Straight Divisional Wins for the Skins
Posted on 4 Dec 2012 by Mercedes Green.
The Redskins have won 3 straight divisional wins in a row: Eagles, then Cowboys and now the Giants. Although RG3 is the dominant presence of the game, this group of players is coming together as a great team and one to beat. The game was dominated by the Giants offense on the field with over 33 minutes total. The Redskins D was tired but worked every bit for this win. They did allow a f...

RG3 and Morris Go Head To Head for Rookie of the Week
Posted on 27 Nov 2012 by Mercedes Green.
So far Rg3 won in weeks 1, 4, 6 and 11. Morris won in week 7 (this doesn't include the Offensive Player or Ground Player of the Week). Both are now going head to head for the NFL Rookie of the Week. Click here to vote!

Can’t Win If You Can’t Catch
Posted on 29 Oct 2012 by Mercedes Green.
The Washington Redskins made an NFL season record and not in a good way: 10 dropped passes in one game and most were from perfect throws by RG3. You can’t put those 177 passing yards on the Steelers defense because 8 of those were uncontested. Alfred Morris was held to only 59 yards rushing and RG3 to only 8. It is incredibly frustrating to have such talent in RG3 yet no one to help h...

Week 8 Preview: Redskins Steelers Preview
Posted on 26 Oct 2012 by Mercedes Green.
Just when your team gets some good news with the announcement that Cooley is back, it’s possible London Fletcher’s consecutive –games streak may end this weekend. Fletcher has been suffering from “balances issues” and has missed 2 consecutive practices. There is no proof of concussion, but it’s troubling, especially from this fan who loves London. “If he's able to go, you ...

Fantasy Football Week 5 Start’ems
Posted on 5 Oct 2012 by David Willow.
Quarterbacks Peyton Manning – Manning and Brady will meet for the first time in a Broncos vs Patriots game this week. The Patriots defense has improved from last season, but they are still struggling in the secondary. The Patriots just don’t have the same personnel that they had in the days where Manning just couldn’t get it done against Belichick. With a strong core of offensive weapons ...

Billy May Have Saved Job With Last Second FG Win
Posted on 1 Oct 2012 by Mercedes Green.
I hate last second field goal wins/losses more than anyone, but Cundiff missed 3 prior FGs so the Skins would have been up by 30-22 (or at least 27-22 as 2 were easily makeable which would have made my prediction of 28-21 so close!). The Redskins pulled off a 24-22 win over the Bucs in the last few seconds with a FG. If he didn’t make that 4th FG, I doubt he’d still be a Redskin this mo...

Week 4 Preview: Redskins at Bucs
Posted on 28 Sep 2012 by Mercedes Green.
Now that the whole replacement referee debacle is FINALLY over we can go back to the real NFL of bad calls (jk). I attended last week’s Redskins Home Opener loss and watching that crap happen right in front of your eyes was disgraceful, frustrating and downright wrong. I’m not going to dwell on that loss as this is a new week! The Redskins meet the Bucs this Sunday at 4:25 PM The Reds...

Fantasy Football Week 1 Waivers
Posted on 11 Sep 2012 by David Willow.
As usual the first week of the NFL leaves some fantasy owners cheering from the mountain tops, while others recovering an plotting their next move. There's a certain rush that fantasy players experience when they see draft picks live up to the reach an owner made in the mid to late rounds of their draft, and yet a certain lamenting of choices made that is felt when the opposite happens. Either ...
