Beasts in the East: NBA Atlantic Division Preview
Posted on 17 Oct 2012 by Warren Shaw.
The NBA's very busy off season has transformed the Atlantic Division into a battlefield that could very well be the the league's best division. Gone are the days of just ink penning the Celtics as the division's champion with the Knicks, Nets, and 76′ers all vastly improved. What the Nets have done by moving to Brooklyn and essentially picking a fight with the oldest member on the block...

Lakers / Heat Stoke NBA ’12-13
Posted on 16 Oct 2012 by Steven Keys.
Consider this the year of LeBron. Not because he and his Heat team are a lock to repeat as champs in 2013. Au contraire, the new & improved Lakers will have a thing or two to say about who dons that crown come next June. Rather, it’s because this’ll be the first time in his 10-year NBA tenure that Mr. James can actually enjoy himself on a basketball court. Having garnered that elusive c...

The Cavaliers balanced attack frustrates Knicks stagnant offense.
Posted on 26 Jan 2012 by marcus_sr.
Six of the 10 players that the Cavs played tonight hit three balls and the struggling Knicks had no answers for the outside heat brought on by the Cavaliers. The Cavs played a very balanced game in all facets of the game. They played 5 starters and 5 bench guys and everyone who touched the floor scored. Out of the starters 4 of the 5 ended the game in double figures. Defensively everyone follow...

Unexpected Suitors
Posted on 6 Jan 2012 by Warren Shaw.
The Orlando Magic are still very likely to milk Dwight Howard's play to the last possible minute before the NBA's trade deadline on March 15. And why not? The list of teams that are willing to make realistic offers for Dwight Howard continues to grow. Rumors that two new and somewhat surprising suitors have emerged in the last few days. As first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports ...

Blood Drips, Bodies Fly, and the Knicks Lose
Posted on 22 Mar 2011 by Daniel Sailofsky.
I didn’t catch the entire Knicks-Celts game tonight, but from what I saw, this one was not for the faint at heart. This game was reminiscent of those extremely competitive, if a bit bloody, playoff series’ between the Knicks and Heat in the 90’s. Troy Murphy left with a bloody nose, Big Baby Davis got caught with a Carmelo Anthony elbow to the head, and Ray Allen was forced to briefly lea...

AS WADE COOLS IN FOURTH QUARTER, HEAT LOSE
Posted on 28 Jan 2011 by Sean Eckhardt.
No, no, no, no ,no. The Miami Heat found themselves in the middle of a Destiny's Child chorus as they lost to the New York Knicks on Thursday night, 93-88. Dwyane Wade could not save them, though he did keep them in the game single-handedly for three quarters. LeBron looked like Charlie Sheen in “Major League” for most of the game; he couldn't hit the ocean if he fell...

Depressing Turn of Events
Posted on 3 Dec 2010 by Scott Johnston.
What started out looking like a season of promise has quickly turned into one of depression. Is it just me, or are the Warriors now bad and boring? And do they seem like they’re indifferent as well? It’s one thing to lose to the surging Spurs at home, but last night against the Suns was a game they should’ve won, but didn’t, falling 107-101 and seeing their record dip to 8-11. The Suns ...

Brook Lopez Scores 36, Devin Harris Injured in Nets Loss to Resurgent Knicks
Posted on 30 Nov 2010 by Jim Mancari.
If there was one word to describe this game, it would be “offense.” The New York Knicks defeated the New Jersey Nets 111-100 at Madison Square Garden in their first of four meetings. The 111 points marks the most points the Nets have given up all season. The Nets are now 81-80 all-time against the Knicks. The Nets were coming off a great win over the Trailblazers, but the Knicks have now wo...

Warriors outscored by Knicks, 125-119
Posted on 20 Nov 2010 by Scott Johnston.
Was Don Nelson back on the bench for the Warriors on Friday night? No, Nellie wasn’t there, and neither was David Lee, whom the Warriors missed tremendously as the Knicks scored at will en route to a 125-119 win over G’State, handing the Warriors their first home loss of the season. Behind a career night from Raymond Felton, New York scored 41 points in the 2nd quarter, en route to a 72-59 ...

Spurs/Suns Game 1
Posted on 4 May 2010 by Gabriel Rodriguez.
What a game? First Robert Horry hip checks Steve Nash into the scorers table, then players were ejected, and then there was a mascot fight. Just kidding. I thought I would make something up because I didn't watch much of this game. I didn't watch because tip-off was after 10:30pm on the East Coast. As Colin Cowherd says, I have a big boy job and can't stay up until 1am watching hoops on...
