Breaking News: Andre Almeida, Huskers backup center, will not suit up for tonights matchup with the Wildcats. This will be huge for K-State. Almeida had the potential to give Nebraska power inside and could have forced foul trouble on an already depleted front line for the Cats. Big positive for KSU. Look for Curtis Kelly and Jamar Samuels to take advantage.

Saturday’s game appeared, by all accounts, to be the game that could give the Jayhawks that one momentum building dominant effort. Perennial Big 12 punching bag Nebraska visited the undefeated #2 team in the country. However, when the final buzzer sounded, the Jayhawks emerged by the slimmest of margins.
