Undeniable Heat: Southeast Division Preview
Posted on 23 Oct 2012 by Warren Shaw.
With little in the category of drama, the Southeast Division is an open and shut case regarding the first place winner. The Miami Heat are the defending champions which would give them the edge anyway but they have watched two division foes become significantly weaker in Atlanta and Orlando. With Joe Johnson (formerly of the Hawks) and Dwight Howard (formerly of the Magic) out of the division, ...

Rim Rocking Notes: Vegas Summer League Day 3
Posted on 16 Jul 2012 by Warren Shaw.
Day 3 of the Vegas Summer League saw 7 games on the slate with the debuts of multiple lottery picks. I was unable to catch all of the action for I am only one man. A little bit of a format change from Days 1 and 2 but here's what I saw: Phoenix Suns: Markieff Morris battled early foul trouble as he was not taking defense seriously guarding the little known Chris Copeland from the Knicks. He shi...

Posted on 20 Jun 2012 by Daniel Lewis.
Michael Jordan has been in the news lately, from the Dream Team documentary to the comparisons being drawn from “The Flu Game” to LeBron's “The Cramp Game.” The best news for his current position, though, is the hiring of a new head coach for the Charlotte Bobcats, Mike Dunlap. Dunlap, who had been working as an assistant coach for St. Johns, a Division I school in the B...

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly…Celtics defeat the Bobcats 102-95
Posted on 26 Mar 2012 by Warren Shaw.
The Boston Celtics know how to win and more importantly they know how to win ugly. The Celtics led nearly wire to wire and defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 102-95 on Monday night but it was not pretty. The two teams combined for 56 fouls and shot 80 total free throws in a surprisingly close affair. Paul Pierce carried the offensive load with a season high 36 points to go along with 10 rebounds. ...

Making his mark…Paul Pierce flies by Larry Bird on Celtics all-time scoring list
Posted on 7 Feb 2012 by Warren Shaw.
For the better part of his career Paul Pierce has been under appreciated. Questions consistently come up in the discussion of Pierce's greatness. How does he get to the rim the way he does? Is he really that great a shooter, passer, or rebounder? Career averages of 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists should speak for themselves and would for almost any other player. Despite the seemin...

Solid Performances Still not Enough for Bobcats
Posted on 14 Jan 2012 by Britney Roper.
Another solid scoring performance from second year player Byron Mullens, was still not enough for a Charlotte victory en route to a Bobcats 81 to 98 loss to the Detroit Pistons. Mullens followed up a career night against the Hawks with another stellar performance as he totaled 18 points and 7 rebounds. Mullens was a positive force for the Bobcats scoring 8 points in the first quarter to pull ...

Rookie Luck Not so Much for Bobcats
Posted on 12 Jan 2012 by Britney Roper.
After a dismantling 30 point loss to the Atlanta Hawks, the Bobcats could use a little superman of their own. With Panther fans still buzzing about their on rookie’s incredible season, Bobcat fans wish they could say the same in hopeful prospect Kemba Walker. Since Walker was drafted in the first round to the Bobcats, he has averaged a little over 20 minutes per game; less than 10 points per ...

WADE PLAYS; MIAMI WINS; SHOWDOWN SET
Posted on 9 Apr 2011 by Sean Eckhardt.
Dwyane Wade didn't score 40 or 50 points. He didn't have to. His presence and energy on the court was enough. On Friday night the Miami Heat looked like a different team as they beat the Charlotte Bobcats, 112-103. Just two days earlier, they lost, at home, to the Milwaukee Bucks. Wade was the difference on this night. D3 didn't play against the Bucks, but he played on Frid...
