Welcome Back, Cooley
Posted on 22 Oct 2012 by Mercedes Green.
Chris Cooley the Kotter of the Redskins In one of the most positive things to ever come from a player’s injury during a heart breaking loss is this story. TE Chris Cooley is back! The Redskins released Cooley in August and during his heart warming news conference, all Redskins fans around the globe were crying, bitter and angry. I did agree when he was released that he had the potential...

Chris Cooley Released by Redskins
Posted on 28 Aug 2012 by Mercedes Green.
I'm not really surprised, but am saddened. I have been a Cooley fan and wearer of his jersey since his debut as a Redskin. Chris announced the news himself. I admit to tears watching this video as I'm sure most fans of the Redskins will as well. HTTR Chris! You shall be missed and look forward to following your career elsewhere. Cooley Video

Blame…Canada?
Posted on 31 Oct 2011 by Mercedes Green.
Blame whoever you want: Coaches, players, injuries, bad luck or me? I’ve been to 4 Skins games over the past 4 years and they are 1-3 for those so maybe I need to stop going. However, I blame them all for the horrible showing yesterday of my beloved Redskins in my hometown. They were shut out by the Buffalo Bills 23-0. Their only scoring chance was a 49 field goal which was blocked ...

Redskins Coming To Toronto!
Posted on 28 Oct 2011 by Mercedes Green.
I cannot wait until Sunday. My entire family is joining me to watch our favourite team play minutes from our homes. No matter the score or outcome, this will be one of the best days in my life for sure. I’ve been to a few Redskins home games over the past few years, but seeing them at the Rogers Centre will be a whole new experience. What I am extremely bummed about is that Chris Cool...

Top Redskin Players Out for Season
Posted on 25 Oct 2011 by Mercedes Green.
RB Tim Hightower is out for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee and will be placed on injury reserve. WR Santana Moss will miss between 5-7 weeks, which takes it to the end of the season, with a broken bone in his left hand. Add to that all the injuries on the offensive line and TE Chris Cooley, we're looking at a brand new offense.

All Aboard the Train Rex
Posted on 17 Oct 2011 by Mercedes Green.
The Philadelphia Eagles in a near must-win game against the Washington Redskins did exactly what they had to do: They stopped the running game in its tracks thus forcing Rex Grossman to throw and boy did he ever! The only thing wrong was the fact that none of the Redskins caught those passes. Grossman threw 4 interceptions and was yanked out of the game late in the 3rd quarter. John Bec...

Pro Bowl and NFC Player of the Week for the Skins
Posted on 30 Dec 2010 by Mercedes Green.
The Washington Redskins will be represented in Hawaii for the 2011 Pro Bowl Game. CB DeAngelo Hall has been voted for the first time as a Redskin (3rd time overall with 2 stints with the Falcons in 2005 and 2006). Hall is currently tied for 2nd in the NFL with 6 interceptions. He also has 89 tackles and 2 forced fumbles. 4 of the 6 interceptions came in a NFL record game against the Chi...

Skins Win! Skins Win! Skins Win!
Posted on 26 Dec 2010 by Mercedes Green.
It was a cold and windy day in Jacksonville (38 degrees Fahrenheit) and was the coldest in Jaguar history. I challenge anyone who watched that game like I did to say anything about the Redskins Defence. There were so many injuries to this team that they were literally pulling guys from the practice squad yesterday. The Jags were in playoff contention and even though the Redskins were ta...

Redskins Cowboys Tied for Last Place in NFC East
Posted on 20 Dec 2010 by Mercedes Green.
The Washington Redskins, in true Skins drama, lost by a FG to the Dallas Cowboys. At one point, the Skins were down 20 points, but the offense managed to tie the game within a couple minutes of the 4th quarter. And in more Redskins drama, QB Donovan McNabb was benched and Rex Grossman started. This has made many people fire back at Shanahan because they feel McNabb was not respected, but ...

Buffone’s Weekend Menu: Quick Snacks
Posted on 4 Dec 2010 by John Buffone.
On the menu this week are some quick options to hold you over as you make your run into the playoffs. Obviously some options are much more efficient than others. Fattening: Carson Palmer- Look for the Bengals to run the ball more this week against the Saints who are ranked 3rd among all pass defenses. Palmer hasn’t shown that he can rise to occasion lately having 7 TDS to 8 INTS in his last f...

Posted on 22 Nov 2010 by Mercedes Green.
The Redskins lost 7 players during the game due to injuries, all of which were around the leg area. Players were seen slipping and sliding on the grass, but it was not raining. What is up with the Tennessee grass? Players injured: Chad Simpson (foot), Anderson Russell (Rookie S in for Landry with knee injury suffered during punt return that gave Titans their only TD), Casey Rabach (knee...
