Bevo in Oxford
Posted on 13 Sep 2012 by Don Greene.
Well, its time to see where Texas stands. Longhorns are headed to play a S.E.C. football team in the Mississippi Rebels. These two teams have played six times with Texas leading the series. This is the first time the Longhorns will play in Oxford, Mississippi. I refer to Oxford as Manning place. It is where both Archie Manning and Eli Manning played college football. Ar...

Can you feel the (March) Madness???
Posted on 9 Mar 2012 by Mark Cook.
As we rapidly approach The 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Here are the teams that I believe will make the most “noise” in the next couple of weeks. Favorites to WIN it all: 1. Kentucky – Anthony Davis is a “beast” in the paint and with the clutch play of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Kentucky is one of the “best” teams in college basketball today alo...

March Madness Is Here!!!!!!
Posted on 8 Mar 2012 by Mark Cook.
Can you feel the madness? Did you catch the fever? No, I'm not talking about the cold that you're probably fighting, but I'm talking about March Madness! Well, it has began this week with the various conference tournaments that will place 31 schools into the round of 68. I find this lead up to the “Big Dance” as a great introduction to the smaller and lesser known schools, who get t...

Situation on the Bulldogs’ Defensive Line
Posted on 15 Apr 2011 by Brenden Hull.
Let's face it: the defensive line was one of the worst positions on Georgia's team last year. Nose guard DeAngelo Tyson frequently failed to secure the middle, and defensive end Demarcus Dobbs did not follow up on a fairly successful 2009 season. This resulted in Georgia allowing 147.23 rushing yards per game, which was 53rd in the country. However, all that has changed now. In fact, it's chang...

New Life
Posted on 29 Mar 2011 by Kyle Patterson.
Well, after looking like a college team for four games, the Bobcats (31-42) came roaring back and have now won three straight games to pull back within one game of the Pacers (33-42) for the 8th and final playoff spot in the East. And it's not like they beat cupcakes either. The Bobcats were able to pull off wins at Boston (51-22) and at home against New York (36-38) and Milwaukee (29-44). ...

Stanford Dispatches of Woeful Wazzu
Posted on 24 Oct 2010 by Donovan Williams.
Okay, I’ll be honest. I started writing this post on Thursday night. There was no way that Wazzu was going to win this game, and don’t let the final score deceive you. This game was over by halftime and then sealed with a 17 yard touchdown pass by Andrew Luck to Doug Baldwin to give the Cardinal a 31-7 lead. Wazzu scored 14 points in the last 3:46 to make the outcome appear closer than real...

While I Was Out
Posted on 7 Oct 2010 by Nick Vance.
Hope you all missed me while I was gone. Sorry I wasn't able to post a game wrap last week for TCU. I was up in Minnesota and apparently they haven't quite figured out this internet contraption yet. Not that I missed much, though TCU scared me a little in the first half they were luckily playing Colorado State and ended up winning easily. As with last week I'm still looking for that time ...

Stanford Cardinal Football Preview: Battle for Control of the PAC-10
Posted on 30 Sep 2010 by Donovan Williams.
The last time the Stanford Cardinal cracked the top 10 of the Associated Press poll, Jim Harbaugh was waning on the Carolina Panther bench in the final season of his otherwise respectable NFL career. Stanford’s stay in the top 10 back in 2001 was a brief one. They fell out of the top 10 the following week after a loss to Washington. Rest assured, Jim Harbaugh is looking to keep the Cardinal i...

If you've ever read my bio below all my columns, you know that I host two radio shows a week. I've been doing talk shows since I was 15 years old. However, I've never been on TV. That was… until yesterday. Thanks so much to Deniz Kofteci and the good people at speakingchannel.tv for inviting prosportsblogging.com to be on the sports blogging discussion panel. Being just a hop, skip...

B(u)ying Time – New Mex. St. Heads to the Horseshoe
Posted on 30 Oct 2009 by Rebekah Edwards.
With a gap in conference play, Ohio State put their feelers out there to find a filler. The opponent shopping done was comparable to looking for a jersey of a specific player (who isn’t number 2) made for women. Meaning, you know there is one out there but it has to be exactly what you are looking for AND must be the right fit. The right fit came from the southwest. The Buckeyes opted to ...
