Redskins Cowboys SNF and the Title on the Line
Posted on 28 Dec 2012 by Mercedes Green.
The Redskins have sole possession of first place in the NFC East after winning last week with both the Giants and Cowboy losing. The Redskins can take the NFC East Divisional Title this week if they either beat or tie the Cowboys. If they lose, the Cowboys take the title but they can still get a playoff spot with a Minnesota and Chicago loss. If the Cowboys lose, they’re out. The Gian...

The Game of All Games
Posted on 22 Nov 2012 by Mercedes Green.
Redskins Cowboys on Thanksgiving. It doesn’t get any better than this. RG3 has been very vocal that even though he grew up in Texas he is NOT a Cowboy fan. He’s been posting “Back in Texas and on a mission” on Facebook and Twitter. He even met with Joe Gibbs this week to discuss the rivalry. This is going to be a good one. This will be the seventh time the Redskins have play...

Heartbreaking Nail Biting OT Loss
Posted on 21 Nov 2011 by Mercedes Green.
Wow what a game. Prior to the game us fans didn’t think the Redskins would be able to compete with the Cowboys let alone tie them and bring the game into overtime. Unfortunately for them it came down to the kickers and theirs was better. This game was all about errors and bad calls, but overcoming them. TE Fred Davis had a ball stripped as he was trying to get extra yardage (instead of ...

Redskins Cowboys Round 2
Posted on 18 Nov 2011 by Mercedes Green.
And here we go again! I am a very unhappy, disappointed and peeved off fan right now, so I can only imagine what the Redskin players are feeling. The Cowboys are coming off a win against the Bills (well they destroyed the Bills) and the Redskins from an embarrassing loss to the Miami Dolphins. If anyone really thinks this will be a walk in the park for the visiting Cowboys, you’re obvio...

Posted on 28 Sep 2011 by Mercedes Green.
Dallas QB Tony Romo is accusing the Washington Redskins of cheating and is blaming the Redskins’ Defense for all the mis-snaps in what nfl.com is calling “Monday night's sloppy 18-16 Dallas victory.” Romo is accusing the defenders of yelling out their own snap counts to confuse the offense and Tony Romo. “We've got to get the snap thing worked out,” Romo told reporters after...

Skins Fan Ego Bruised with Loss to the Boys
Posted on 27 Sep 2011 by Mercedes Green.
Brutal. Just brutal. Clearly a win for the Cowboys defense last night and a fight for the most field goals. Both the Redskins and the Cowboys scored a FG on their opening drives. LaRon Landry, who promised to unleash the Beast, did so for part of the game causing a fumble which was then recovered by the Redskins. The Redskins then score their 2nd field goal. In the second quarter, a g...

Landry Ready to Untame the Beast on Dallas
Posted on 21 Sep 2011 by Mercedes Green.
SS LaRon Landry has been out since last November with an achilles injury. The injury was healing but during training camp he pulled a hamstring. This week the Skins travel to Texas to play the Cowboys on MNF and this has untamed the beast. “Don't calm me down. Let me go. Untame this beast, man. It's been a while,” he told The Associated Press on Wednesday. “The only thin...

McNabb Benched as Redskins Visit Cowboys
Posted on 17 Dec 2010 by David Willow.
It was announced that Mike Shanahan plans to bench Donovan McNabb for the game against the Cowboys this Sunday in favor of back up Rex Grossman. Shanahan is reportedly wanting to see what he has in his back ups and is showing that there is a very god chance that the team will exercise their clause in McNabbs contract extension that will allow them to cut him after this season without a cap pena...

Kansas scorched in 2nd half against Cowboys
Posted on 22 Nov 2010 by David Freivogel.
Well it was a close game, until half. The Jayhawks found themselves in a close, low scoring game at the half with the Cowboys from Oklahoma State. Trailing 20-14 going into the locker rooms, most Kansas fans had to be stunned. Not that it was a close game, but the fact that their defense, which has given up points like a bad video game team, was actually keeping the most explosive offense in th...

Cowboys Week 8 Preview and Tidbits
Posted on 29 Oct 2010 by David Willow.
This Sunday Dallas will start it's post Tony Romo era of the season and Jon Kitna will take the helm for Dallas. Kitna, who is in his 14th season in the NFL, will lead what is probably the most talented team he has started for in his career. So will that be enough for win? Even with a win, what will Kitna be able to do for the rest of the season? Since, even when Romo is ready to play later thi...
