The NHL Top 10 Nominees At Each Position Are……
Posted on 29 Jul 2010 by Trent Kondo.
This is just a summary of what I feel are the top 10 players in each category in the NHL to date. Sure there will be many arguments for and against what I have inserted here but let's take a look at what I have and see if we agree. Center: Sidney Crosby- should not be any argument here, the “kid” is hands down the best center and possibly the player in the game today. Pavel Datsyuk-...

Two Days in Leaf Land: a Trade and a Free Agent Signing
Posted on 2 Jul 2010 by Ben Fisher.
Perhaps the past 48 hours haven’t gone down exactly as Brian Burke envisioned them. He did, after all, pursue free agent defenceman Dan Hamhuis and Paul Martin before they signed with the Canucks and Penguins, respectively. But he certainly has made an impact, acquiring a pair of tough, young forwards while still holding onto his biggest trade chip. How did Burke fare in the early-goings? Let...

Summer Seasonings

Summer Seasonings Contrary to everyone in Blues nation, I was not terribly disappointed by this years ninth place finish. Although it would have been nice to see the Blues play in the post season, the Blackhawks or Sharks would have beaten the Blues in three games. As far as I’m concerned, the Blues organization is exactly where they need to be. The pipeline of talent heading towards the NHL ...

Unparalleled Elation.
Posted on 3 Apr 2010 by Chris Rydburg.
The Nashville Predators entered todays game against Detroit knowing a win gets them in the playoff and increases their lead over the Redwings for the 5th seed in the Western Conference. The Nashville Predators would leave Detroit two points ahead of their arch rivals thanks to an overtime goal by Ryan “USA” Suter. But I get ahead of myself. Let's take a look back on the impor...

Random thoughts on a rainy monday
Posted on 29 Mar 2010 by Chris Rydburg.
The Predators managed to totally crush my heart on Saturday, losing in a 11 round shootout to the Detroit Redwings in front of a full house at the Stone. Luckily, the Miami Redhawks beat Michigan in double overtime yesterday to cheer me up. Love and honor! Period 1 20:00 Well, here we are again. Predators against Wings. It's a tale as old as time for these two clubs. My keys to the ga...

In the End Flyers Didn’t Have the Pieces to Make a Deal
Posted on 3 Mar 2010 by Mike Santa Barbara.
The NHL Trade Deadline came and went without a move from the Orange and Black. The Flyers coveted a goaltender, defensemen, and perhaps another scoring forward. None of which they acquired. Not from lack of trying, though. The Flyers simply didn't have the pieces to move to get anything they wanted. There was lots of talk of acquiring Dwayne Roloson, Tomas Vokoun, Dan Ellis, or even Marty Turco...
