There's an old saying in sports: defense wins championships. In baseball, defense is part of the game, but in this reference it's pitching (along with a good defense) that wins championships. Either way, that doesn't bode well for the 2012 version of the Colorado Rockies (or any version of the Colorado Rockies since their inception in 1993).
