Steelers Pre-Season #2 Game Summary
Posted on 19 Aug 2012 by Rob Stroup.
In the preseason, I am far more intrigued by how a team plays than the end result of the game. As such, this week’s review focuses on different facets of the game. Though it hardly matters, the Pittsburgh Steelers won 26-24 over the Indianapolis Colts. Steelers Offense Passing Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had a terrible read as the Colts safety, Antoine Bethea, undercut a WR out route t...

Titans give early Christmas gift to Colts
Posted on 19 Dec 2011 by Robert Krueger.
What the heck happened? The Titans visit to Lucas Oil Stadium could not have gone worse than it did. The Colts (1-13) handed the Titans (7-7) a 27-13 beat down yesterday. The Titans led at the half 6-3 and outscored 24-7 in the second half. The Titans were hurt by three costly turnovers, highlighted by a Jacob Lacey interception return for a touchdown. That play signified Chris Johnson’s seas...

Buffone Fantasy Football Guide RBs 46-50: Bottom Feeders
Posted on 2 Aug 2011 by John Buffone.
We've hit the end of the line with running backs and quite frankly, it doesn't look like there's a ton a value here. However, there's always that one back who never gets drafted and ends up flying off the free agent wire within the first two or three weeks. Do your research and happy hunting! (more…)

Posted on 16 Nov 2010 by Al Buzzelli.
Week 10 (and beyond) pickups: Quarterbacks Sam Bradford (available in 57% of leagues) Back-to-back 15-point performances have Bradford in a good position against the Atlanta Falcons this week (23rd against the pass) and the Arizona Cardinals (27th against the pass) in Week 13. Colt McCoy (available in 93% of leagues) The Browns are hot as of late and playing against Jacksonville this week (29th...

NFL Week 10, The Midseason: Some Like It Hot
Posted on 11 Nov 2010 by Al Buzzelli.
Fantasy football, like the midseason period for NFL organizations can be a stressful time to make difficult choices. Whether to pickup Minnesota’s Sidney Rice, Tennessee’s Nate Washington or even Arizona’s LaRod Stevens-Howling can be equally as contemplative for NFL owners and coaches as they have to deal with their own dilemmas. Dallas’ Jerry Jones didn’t seem to have that tough a t...

Contain Vick or Else
Posted on 7 Nov 2010 by Patrick Blakeslee.
This would be a good day for the law of averages to catch up with Eagles QB Michael Vick. Vick has thrown 96 passes without an interception and you figure he’s going to attempt somewhere between 20-30 passes today. Not to take anything away from Vick, he’s having a pretty decent season thus far filling in for the injured Kevin Kolb. But sooner or later, Vick is either going to make a mi...

Week 8 Start’em/Sit’em: All Aboard the Torain Train
Posted on 28 Oct 2010 by Al Buzzelli.
Favre will start. The house always wins. The Lakers in seven. Some streaks are meant to last. Or are they? Favre has an ankle injury — two to be exact. Card counters can break the bank; and the Celtics took down Kobe’s bunch in ’08. Entering Week 8, everything can seem like the beginning of a streak or even the breaking point of one. The Cowboys are done. No worry of breakage there....

Fantasy Week 7 round up
Posted on 25 Oct 2010 by David Willow.
Well for those of you out there who played Kenny Britt or Darren McFadden, bravo, you guys definitely cashed in this week. For those of you who didn't take solace in the fact that they're still on your team, and in some cases on the waivers still. I didn't mention it last week, but if you grabbed up, or even have just held onto Big Ben all season, congrats as well. Roethlisberger has been every...

Colts Will Commit a Capital Offense
Posted on 14 Oct 2010 by Patrick Blakeslee.
How fitting is it that the Colts are playing in Washington DC this weekend since their defense resembles the politics in our nation’s capital. . .talking a good game but performing inconsistently. Dwight Freeney said that a lot of the team’s problems that happened against the Chiefs were “self inflicted” but if you watched the same game I did, the only self inflicted problems were don...

Fantasy Week 3 picks
Posted on 24 Sep 2010 by David Willow.
We're coming up in week 3 and there have been more injuries and a few intriguing match ups this week. Most of you will probably run your obvious number 1s like Adrian Peterson at Detroit or Andre Johnson at Dallas and take advantage of good match ups. Here are a few players to target that may be under the radar. Run them is you got them Mike Tolbert – If you were able to pick him up off o...

NFL Fantasy Week 3 Risers and Fallers
Posted on 22 Sep 2010 by Brandon Galvin.
Risers: QB: Mark Sanchez, NYJ: After a miserable Week 1 performance against the Ravens, Mark Sanchez looked as good as he did in last year’s Super Bowl run in Week 2. Sanchez completed 21 of 30 passes (70.0 completion percentage) for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Sanchez displayed better pocket awareness this week, decision making, accuracy, and a willingness to go down field. He did so aga...

Preseason: Colts vs Vikings + Thoughts
Posted on 17 Aug 2009 by Mike Crupi.
A very brief look at what was an uneventful first pre-season game against the Vikings. The NFL preseason is off to a roaring start. An exception to this rule apparently was the preseason game between the Colts and the Vikings which was somewhat of a snoozer at 13-3 for Minnesota. Lucas Oil Stadium did not get a fitting opening as the Colts’ offence was virtually non-existant throughout t...
