Posted on 9 Dec 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
The Miami Heat won their first big road game of the season on Wednesday night, defeating the Utah Jazz 111-98. It was their sixth win in a row and improved the team's overall record to 15-8. This game was probably the best Miami has looked all season, with the possible exception of the first contest with Orlando. As far as playing on the road, this game was by far the best the He...

15 MINUTES OF SHAME…
Posted on 2 Dec 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
That is what LeBron James will have to deal with. The game tonight will be a mental test for the Miami Heat as they travel to Cleveland to face the Cavaliers for the first time since signing LeBron, a.k.a. The Messiah”, back in July. For James himself, no doubt that this game will be toughest test he has ever faced in terms of a hostile environment. Cleveland, the city whe...

CAN BEST FRIENDS BE TEAMMATES?
Posted on 28 Nov 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
This weekend has been a perfect example of the Heat's season so far. On Friday night they survived a late scare at home and went on to beat a bad Philadelphia team 99-90. Then on Saturday night they traveled to Dallas to take on the Mavericks, who many including myself believe are a real contender in the Western Conference. An awful third quarter led to a sound defeat;106-95. T...

AS LOSSES MOUNT, THE LOSS OF HASLEM IS THE BIGGEST
Posted on 23 Nov 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
The Miami Heat have lost back-to-back games against inferior teams. They lost a close game on Saturday night to the Memphis Grizzlies. Last night against the Indiana Pacers, Miami was blown out at home. Both of these were very bad losses, but neither compares to losing forward Udonis Haslem to a torn foot tendon during that Memphis game. Size and physical play down low h...

Posted on 18 Nov 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
So much for trading Chris Bosh. Say goodbye to all the criticism of the Heat 3. At least for today. Miami could do no wrong on Wednesday night, thoroughly trouncing the Phoenix Suns, 123-96, and it wasn't even that close. The Heat, not the Suns had tallied 100 points by the end of the third quarter. Chris Bosh had 35 of those points. This is the Miami team everyone expected...

SOMEBODY CALL ALONZO MOURNING

The Miami Heat can't beat the Boston Celtics. Period. It doesn't matter if it's the regular season or the playoffs. It doesn't matter if they have LeBron James or not. Over the last two seasons the Celtics are 9-1 against Miami. Gamblers would call that a lock, not just a trend. Fans of other teams and critics everywhere are smiling. Apparently, this team is more ordina...

Posted on 15 Oct 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
The build-up for the superstar trio of Wade, James, and Bosh has been expectedly huge. Fans in Miami are beyond pumped, while most NBA fans in other cities resent the Heat and all the attention that has been poured upon them. Meanwhile, the players themselves just wanted to get on the court. Unfortunately, three minutes into the preseason Dwyane Wade went down with a strained ham...

The expectations for this Miami Heat team have been unthinkably high, even before they opened training camp this week. Now their first public viewing is only a few days away. The Heat open up the preseason on Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons. All eyes will be on Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh. All ears however, might be on LeBron James. You see, while Hea...

Dirk staying in Big D

It's okay Mavs fans, you can breathe a sigh of relief now. Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks have agreed on a four-year contract worth $80 million, including a no-trade clause, to keep the Mavs' all-time leading scorer in Dallas for seemingly the rest of the big German's career. Nowitzki could've demanded a contract worth up to $96 million, the max he could receive. But by agreeing for l...
