UCF Beats ECU, Rises to Top of Conference

UCF took a commanding lead in Conference USA's East Division by beating fellow East member ECU, 49-35. With the win, and Southern Mississippi's loss, the Knights essentially have a two game lead. UCF is undefeated in conference. ECU has one conference loss, but now UCF would have the tiebreaker over them, and Southern Miss has two conference losses. Teams Going in Different Directions

5 weeks ago CMU was 2-1 coming off a big 52-14 victory on the road at EMU. NIU was 1-2 after losing a tough game to Illinois. Both MAC teams had road games at Big Ten teams that next week, NIU winning at Minnesota and CMU losing a close game at Northwestern.
