Posted on 14 Mar 2012 by Steve Folsom.
Longer days and warmer temperatures can only mean one thing: Colorado Rockies baseball is back. The Rockies enter their 20th season as a professional baseball franchise and aim to win their first N.L. West title. There is always a lot of shuffling of players during the off-season and this winter was no different. Here is a recap of the Rockies key moves they hope can push them into the pl...

A’s Trade for Colorado’s Seth Smith
Posted on 16 Jan 2012 by Josh Muller.
The Oakland A’s have traded for Rockies outfielder Seth Smith in a deal that sends pitchers Guillermo Moscoso and Josh Outman to the Rockies. When I look at this deal independently from the surrounding events of the A’s offseason, it’s a pretty good deal. Oakland clearly receives the best player that fills a position of need and he comes at a decent price for the next couple of years. How...

So lets do a quick recap: Since we met last, the A’s haven’t gained any ground in the standings, but have received some really nice starting pitching from some unlikely sources including Josh “The Out Man” Outman, Guillermo Moscoso and Gr...

Their names aren’t Cy, but the Angels don’t like the A’s young pitchers.
Posted on 25 May 2011 by Bill Mahoney.
When I said the Oakland A's would win the AL West, I based it on their starting pitching. You know, Trevor Cahill, Brian Anderson, Gio Gonzalez & Dallas Braden. I didn't factor in Josh Outman or Guillermo Moscoso. Either did the Angels, who treated both of them like they were Cy Young candidates. Those two threw a combined 13 innings, allowing just 8 hits and 1 earned run. Don't the Angels ...
