How the East was lost….Bulls rout the Celtics 97-81
Posted on 7 Apr 2011 by Warren Shaw.
Derrick Rose in a word is special and the Boston Celtics tonight in two words were over matched. In what was Boston's last chance to challenge the Bulls for the number one seed in the East and avoid a potential 2nd round war with Miami, Boston was cut by the thorns of a Rose losing 97-81. Rose showed no mercy with a 30 point, 8 assist, and 5 rebound performance all but locking up the top seed...

Pistons Playoff Hopes Trampled by Pacers
Posted on 30 Mar 2011 by Colton Turnquist.
Tonight was the fatal blow to the Detroit Pistons (26-48) playoff hopes as the Indiana Pacers (34-42) ran away with the game early and never looked back. Rodney Stuckey did his best to pull the Pistons back into the game with 20 of his 24 points coming in the second half as the Pistons tried to climb back into the game. They trailed by 23 points going into the 4th quarter and were still trailin...

Lakeshow in Playoff Mode
Posted on 24 Mar 2011 by Arthur Kai.
The Lakeshow have officially confirmed their championship status with a thrilling 139-137 win against the Phoenix Suns Tuesday night. Arguably the game of the year, the contest went into triple overtime, with big time performances from The Mamba and Co. L.O., starting in his second consecutive game while Andrew Bynum serves the second of his two-game suspension had a monstrous night, scoring 2...

Jazz Go Up Big, Force OT and Win
Posted on 15 Mar 2011 by Wilson Tarpeh Jr..
WOW, that's the word I'm going to use to describe the game between the Utah Jazz and the Philadelphia 76ers. The Jazz looked like they had this thing won early in the 2nd half, they were up by as much as 21!!! Then the 76ers STORMED back into the game and even appeared to have it won down the stretch in regulation. If it weren't for CJ Miles, the Jazz would have lost this game and would have ha...

Hawks stop four game losing streak
Posted on 12 Mar 2011 by John Morgo.
It's a good win over the Trailblazers. Hawks were down most of the first half and into the third before going on a run and knocking off Portland 91-82. Jamal Crawford had 20 in the second half to lead the way. It stops the four game losing streak that continued last night in Chicago. Looking at the crowd, as the players file off, it seems pretty sparse. I won't get official numbers until later....

Cards Headed to the ‘Ship
Posted on 12 Mar 2011 by John Buffone.
Well they did it again. The never-say-die Cardinals overcame all odds and defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 83-77 Friday night, advancing them to the Big East Championship game to take on the UConn Huskies tomorrow night. The Cardinals looked flat for the majority of the first half and it looked as though things were going to get out of hand for Rick Pitino’s bunch. Louisville tried turn...

Back to .500, push for the Playoffs!
Posted on 6 Mar 2011 by Munaf Manji.
Well lets just start with a recap of our last blog and the two points I made the Rockets needed to do: 1. More effort of the defensive end–Check 2. Get back to .500 record–Check The Rockets are 6-1 since the All-Star break with quality wins over New Orleans and Portland, two teams which are infront of the Rockets in the standings. The area which was more impressive about these two...

Lakeshow Part II:The 2nd Half
Posted on 23 Feb 2011 by Arthur Kai.
Whole new half, brand new ball game for the the Los Angeles Lakers, as they take down the Atlanta Hawks at the Staples Center 104-80. Forget the three game losing streak going into the all-star break, especially the loss to the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers. Trade talk rumors have been put to rest for now, with Carmelo Anthony being traded to the New York Knicks. And now the Lakers can focus on the...

Size Matters

The BC Eagles lost by 8 to the Clemson Tigers this evening, falling in Littlejohn Coliseum 77-69. In reality, Clemson's eight point margin of victory was not indicative of how the game really played out, unless you had money on the Eagles covering the spread. They entered the game at +8.5 underdogs on the road. As the old saying goes, “Live by the sword, die by the sword”. The same ...

Nuggets vs. Nets: Nets Defeat Carmelo Anthony, Nuggets Soundly
Posted on 31 Jan 2011 by Jim Mancari.
Carmelo Anthony scored 37 points in Newark tonight. However, it was still as a member of the Denver Nuggets. Twelve days after New Jersey Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov called off Carmelo trade talks, the Nets pounded the Nuggets, 115-99, at “The Rock.” After losing two straight games, this was a big win for the Nets, who continue their streak of playing well at home. New Jersey moved over th...

Lopez and New Jersey keep the streak alive: 17
Posted on 25 Jan 2011 by Ricky Campbell.
I’m not quite sure where to start with this one. First and foremost, tonight’s game against the Nets was one of the best showings of basketball Cleveland has put forth since probably the beginning of the season—until the end. Antawn Jamison was flirting with a double-double as he started off hot in the first half, finishing the game with 26 points and 8 rebounds, but couldn’t get a bask...

Wes Matthews scores a career high 36 points friday night in Minnesota Wesley Matthews broke out of his mini-slump in a big way friday night, scoring 29 of a career high 36 in the first half, as the Blazers cruised to a 108-98 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
