Jets Get It Done On The Ground
Posted on 10 Dec 2012 by Matt Brody.
It may not have been the prettiest game, but the New York Jets figured out a way to get the win. After scoring zero points in the first half for the second straight week the Jets came out in the second half with a plan and stuck to it. That plan was to run, run and run some more. Both of New York's running backs got into the end zone on their way to a 17-10 victory against the Jacksonville Ja...

Sanchez Is Still In There
Posted on 7 Dec 2012 by Matt Brody.
So last week was just a tease. Head Coach Rex Ryan announced earlier this week that he's sticking with Mark Sanchez as his starting quarterback. At 5-7 he feels Sanchez gives the New York Jets the best chance to win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. While the Jaguars rank 28th in pass defense, which will help Sanchez, it was third-stringer Greg McElroy who led the Jets to a win last week. ...

Houston dominates Jags
Posted on 16 Sep 2012 by Dustin Kelver.
Through 2 weeks of football, the Houston Texans might just be the best team in the NFL. They haven't even played a “great game” in my opinion. They came out looking really sloppy against Miami last week but cleaned it up and steam rolled them. Against Jacksonville, Andre Johnson only had 3 catches for 21 yards but the Texans didn't need a big game out of Schaub or Andre. If the Texa...

Week 2 Texans vs Jaguars
Posted on 14 Sep 2012 by Dustin Kelver.
The Texans are coming off a blowout win over the Miami Dolphins in week 1 and now they have their first divisional game this season. The Jacksonville Jaguars are hosting the Houston Texans. The Jags lost in overtime last week vs the Vikings, but MJD played more than I think most people thought he would and played decent. Blaine Gabbert looked light-years better than he did last season. It was h...

Gabbert, Blackmon giving Jacksonville hope
Posted on 21 Aug 2012 by Steve Wojcik.
It’s safe to say if the Blaine Gabbert we saw in the Jaguars 27-24 victory Friday night in New Orleans is the Blaine Gabbert we’ll see for 16 games in the regular season, Jacksonville is a playoff team. The biggest question mark for the Jags coming into 2012 is whether or not their 22-year-old quarterback will progress into the franchise player they thought they were getting when they moved...

Vanity, Thy Name is Tebow
Posted on 16 Apr 2012 by Steven Keys.
You wouldn’t think it from his demeanor: calm, unassuming, upbeat, always the perfect gentleman and always quick to spread credit for team success. By media standards he’s a pleasant encounter. To most gridiron gurus he’s a coach’s dream, provided the team’s starting QB is on terra firma and the club’s in need of a tight-end with a good pair of hands. This is the Tim Tebow we all kn...

Tebow in God’s Country?
Posted on 21 Mar 2012 by Steven Keys.
It’s the answer to John Elway’s prayer. Peyton Manning signed to a 5-year, $96 million contract with the Denver Broncos. (Bag) two birds with one stone, is the proverb. With Peyton on board, Elway instantly elevates his club to contender-status (Vegas 8:1), while also creating cause to ship-off his run-first QB without incurring great wrath from Cult Tebow. Tim’s been an albatross around ...

Titans beat Jaguars-still alive in playoff picture
Posted on 26 Dec 2011 by Robert Krueger.
The Tennessee Titans (8-7) kept their playoff hopes alive with a 23-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Titans completed their home schedule and finished with a record of 5-3 at LP Field. They will finish their season with a trip to Houston to play the Texans at Reliant Stadium. They have a 3-4 record away from Nashville and hope to reach the .500 mark with a win on Sunday. The Titans con...

Week 16: Titans vs Jaguars
Posted on 23 Dec 2011 by Robert Krueger.
The Tennessee Titans (7-7) will play host to the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-10) at LP field on Saturday. The Titans will look to revenge a week 1 16-14 defeat to the Jaguars. Additionally, the Titans will need a win for their slim chances of making the playoffs. The Titans will need a lot of help for any chance of making the playoffs this season. A loss last week to the then winless Indianapolis...

Browns to Battle the Jags on Sunday
Posted on 19 Nov 2011 by Bradley Ross.
For those who haven't followed the Browns closely and seen Pat Shurmur's press conferences, he really like the word battle. A lot. Some people have phrases they use over and over again and like how people try to force “name drops”, Shurmur seems to force “battle” drops or “it is my understanding” drops (another common phrase). Shurmur seems to be learn...

Week 7: Ravens vs. Jaguars–Why is this game on Monday Night?
Posted on 20 Oct 2011 by Frank Sullivan.
Before I even begin discussing the Ravens match-up this week, I think something needs to be said about how the NFL schedule was put together this year. Granted, they were gearing up for the lockout scheduling later bye weeks and no divisional games early, but here's a list of some of the games we've seen, or we'll be seeing on Monday Night Football: Patriots-Dolphins, Giants-Rams, Bucs-Colts,...

Jets get four ints, beat Jaguars 32-3
Posted on 18 Sep 2011 by Fran Berkman.
The Jets proved their dominance offensively on their first possession, and defensively on the Jaguars first possession. They were up 9-0 within five minutes, and the only reason the Jaguars scored at all is because their kicker has a big leg and because the Jets got careless in the battle for field position. Here are some of the key points of the game: Jetting out to a fast start- After going 1...
