The Reds fell to Colorado 9-1 in Cactus League action on Monday in Goodyear. Brad Eldred hit two homers and drove in three to lead the Rockies’ attack. The Reds did well on a busy Sunday afternoon in the Cactus League, with a win and a tie in split squad action. Cincinnati won 4-3 over Oakland at Phoenix, and battled to a 1-1 10-inning tie with the Cubs in Goodyear as the team heads into the final two weeks of preparation for the 2010 season. It was not a happy St. Patrick’s Day for the Reds on Wednesday in Goodyear. Cincinnati fell to Milwaukee 5-2 in the afternoon, then dropped an 8-2 decision to Cleveland at night. The Indians, the Reds spring training partners in Goodyear, have beaten the Reds all three times they’ve met this spring.
