Hunting Hunter
Posted on 19 Aug 2012 by Aaron Scheinblum.
It's only the preseason; but after last night's 26-3 lackluster performance against their Metlife Bowl nemesis the New York Giants, the New York Jets and their loyal fan base did not hesitate to begin pointing fingers. And it began with offensive lineman Wayne Hunter. After starting all 16 games last season for the Jets, the starting Tackle performed abysmally while the Giants' front-four on de...

Tenacity
Posted on 15 Aug 2012 by Aaron Scheinblum.
The New York Jets seem to believe they will make the playoffs. After two consecutive days at Jets' Training Camp resulted in brief tryouts for the United States Olympic boxing team in Rio for 2016, two things became clear: the Jets want to win, and we need better male U.S. boxers in the Olympics. It seems hard to believe that the Jets players truly have animosity towards one another (minus the ...

Time to Try Something New

Rex Ryan is entering his fourth season as the New York Jets' Head Coach. His animated personality and his hard-nosed, dedicated attitude has led Ryan to become a powerful motivator while demanding respect from his foes. With Ryan's antics come mistakes; whether it be claiming which team is best in New York, stating he would have won at least two Super Bowls if he was the head coach of another t...

Sanchez & Tebow: ‘Great Start’ or ‘Great Stunt’
Posted on 17 May 2012 by Aaron Scheinblum.
Quarterback controversy doesn't apply to the New York Jets. At least that's how it seems amidst all of the questions and quotations. Recently, a senior reporter released a story explaining the relationship between the two; simply reiterating the idea that both quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow understand their roles and will work in perfect harmony. Good joke. Both Sanchez and Tebow have ...

Important week ahead for Sens
Posted on 26 Mar 2012 by Jonathan Ward.
After Saturday’s game vs the Pittsburgh Penguins in Ottawa, which we saw the Sens beat the Pens 8-4. Sens got some much needed offense at the right time. They have been seriously lacking goal scoring as they have only scored 5 times in the last 4 games previous to the last win. Sens got scoring from the whole roster vs the Pens, beating the Penguins Goaltender Thessen who has called up from W...

What are the Habs playing for?
Posted on 7 Mar 2012 by Chris G.
I haven’t blogged in a long time but I wanted to share my opinion on the Habs season. This season was probably the most bizarre season for the team that I remember. Here are just a couple of reasons: • Perry Pearn fired 1 hour before gametime • Jacques Martin fired on gameday and replaced by an interim head coach • Scott Gomez over 1 calendar year without a goal • Mike Cammalleri trad...

Skins Blown Over in 4th Quarter
Posted on 5 Dec 2011 by Mercedes Green.
These are the games that really annoy me. The Redskins scored a touchdown on their opening drive and they seemed to be doing well (8 plays, 82 yards). The Jets scored a TD as well, but did so in 9 minutes. That would be the only score for both in the 1st quarter. The running game seemed solid for the 1st quarter. They could have won this game no problem. In the 2nd quarter, the Skins ...

The End. The Jets Tour Bus crashes in Pittsburgh…
Posted on 7 Feb 2011 by Gabe Hidalgo.
What can be said? Slow Starts, frantic finishes. That statement encapsulates a lot of what we saw from the Jets in 2010. They would start off slow and end in a flurry. However, in the end a 24 point deficit was too much of a cushion to give up. At the very least, the jets showed the NFL that they could back up 90% of the talk they spewed throughout the season. I know that this game's postmortem...

Jets-Lions Preview
Posted on 6 Nov 2010 by Frank Mazzola.
Sunday November 7, 2010 1pm Ford Field Keys to a Jets Victory: Offense- 1. Tie up Suh- Detroit rookie Ndamukong Suh is not only a huge run-stopping presence, he also has 6.5 sacks on the year, impressive for a defensive tackle. If the Jets are going to succeed offensively, they need to double-team him whenever possible. Center Nick Mangold has his work cut out for him. 2. Pound away wit...
