The Carolina Hurricanes had their playoff destiny in their hands entering Saturday's regular season finale against the Tampa Bay Lightning: win and they were in. The Carolina Hurricanes seemed to have everything going for them heading into tonight's re-match with the Tampa Bay Lightning. They had won three straight and the Lightning was winless in their last four contests.
