It was a somber day in Pittsburgh on Friday when the news broke that former Pirates manager Chuck Tanner had passed away at the age of 82 in his home in his hometown of New Castle, Pennsylvania, after a long illness. I have been loathe to come back here and post anything. You see, the team started winning a few games. The starting pitching wasn't great, but the bullpen was excellent, and the hitting was timely.
