IS ERIC LICHAJ (“LEE-HIGH”) THE NEXT ALEXI LALAS?
Posted on 7 Oct 2010 by Timothy Ashe Jr..
Let’s rewind to the year 1996. I’m sitting at a small soccer field in the Midwest, outside of Chicago, watching my brother’s match for the Downers Grove Roadrunners, whom I also played for at the time. After his game, he said to me, “Did you see that kid over there?” “No, why?” I replied. My brother went on to explain to me. “He’s my age, by far the best player in th...

What a Season!
Posted on 5 Oct 2010 by Jeff Burke.
The 2010 season for the Padres was a fun roller-coaster ride and a summer of baseball I will never forget. You could almost sum up the whole season in the last series against the Giants. It started off nicely with the Padres playing well and pitching very well. The Avs' impact player this year will be Matt D...

In the past few weeks the Hornets have added these players: SF Joe Alexander, G Willie Green, PG Mustafa Shakur, F-C Jason Smith, G DJ Strawberry, and C Daryl Watkins. Green and Smith were traded for as the Hornets sent away F Darius Songalia and rookie F Craig Brac...

Official rule changes for the 2010-2011 season
Posted on 21 Sep 2010 by Philippe Lemire.
I recently stumbled upon a video on the Capitals Website that outlines all the official rule changes and new rules for the upcoming NHL season. The most important/controversial one is without a doubt the one that deals with checks to the head and the removal of hipchecks below the knee. When it comes to the head-checking rule, the new standard for deeming what is “bad” or good when ...
