Mediocre April Leads to Disappointing May
Posted on 10 May 2012 by Steve Folsom.
Any Rockies fan will tell you that it has been an exciting, yet frustrating start to the season. We're now 30 games in, and at 13-17 the Rockies are not playing well enough to sniff the playoffs this season. At the very least Rockies games have been exciting. With a lineup typically featuring Carlos Gonzalez, Troy Tulowitzki, Todd Helton and Michael Cuddyer hitting in a row, the Rockies are...

Tough Road Ahead
Posted on 6 Mar 2012 by Eric Cooney.
The Kings have been getting a bit of luck lately. Both Phoenix and San Jose have endured a spate of losses recently, helping out the Kings' playoff hopes. The Kings have been doing their share as well, winning 3 of 4 since the arrival of Jeff Carter. However, the Kings do not have an easy schedule down the stretch and it will take a few different things coming together (in my opinion) for...

Posted on 18 Jan 2012 by Eric Cooney.
Things seem to be pretty good under Darryl Sutter here in Los Angeles. The Kings have picked up points in 13 of 14 games so far. Goal scoring is up and the Kings are a more exciting team to watch. Before I get to those two plays, allow me to let you enter my random thoughts on a qu...

NFL Hunch Line: Adieu Edition
Posted on 31 Dec 2011 by Steven Keys.
There’s something about the end of a regular season, something kinda’ sad. Sure, the playoffs are electric. That’s the whole point, right, win a championship? As coach Herm Edwards would’ve said, “That’s why…we play…the game,” to win titles. But we hear it ad nauseam. Players and coaches sound like robots, week in, week out: ‘It’s all about the Super Bowl’ or ‘Nothing ...

The pre-season is finally done and the final cuts have been made. Veteran center Geoff Hangartner, Reggie Corner and Shawn Nelson were among those who were given their walking papers last Saturday.
