Mistakes Plague Buffalo in Preseason Loss
Posted on 27 Aug 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
Get your S**T together Buffalo. I have been telling you that it is only the preseason and not to worry, but after their 38-7 loss to Pittsburgh, Buffalo is still searching for a win in the preseason, leaving me a little worried. They better get their turnover issues in check if they want to start the season off with a win. The biggest factor for the loss was the two interceptions and one fumble...

No Worries Bills Fans, It’s still the Preseason
Posted on 20 Aug 2012 by Norm Duhamel.
So the Bills lost 36-14 to the Vikings, big whoop! If the Bills would have won I would have said the same thing. The preseason is merely a formality and it's primary functions are to get the players back in football form, make adjustments to your rosters, fine tune plays and get fans excited about the upcoming season. So what did we learn from this game? Fitzpatrick had a good game going 8/11,...

Hunting Hunter
Posted on 19 Aug 2012 by Aaron Scheinblum.
It's only the preseason; but after last night's 26-3 lackluster performance against their Metlife Bowl nemesis the New York Giants, the New York Jets and their loyal fan base did not hesitate to begin pointing fingers. And it began with offensive lineman Wayne Hunter. After starting all 16 games last season for the Jets, the starting Tackle performed abysmally while the Giants' front-four on de...

Slow Opener for the Cowboys
Posted on 14 Aug 2012 by David Willow.
Most people will not claim that preseason defines how the team will perform throughout. However, describing the first half of the Cowboys’ preseason opener could be summed up as “sloppy”. Name players like Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, Sean Lee, and DeMarcus Ware looked the part, though not to the surprise of many. Barry Church could raise eyebrows at the safety position as the pre...

Let the RG3 Show Begin!
Posted on 9 Aug 2012 by Mercedes Green.
Yes it’s only preseason, but I am so incredibly excited to see RG3 and how he will affect the Redskins offense. RG3 was immediately pegged as the Redskins’ starting quarterback after being drafted in April and he will play tonight against the Buffalo Bills. Game time is 7PM. Griffin has let it slip that he doesn’t want to get hit tonight and the Bills’ rookie Mario Williams has “a...

Season Upon Us
Posted on 2 Aug 2012 by Anthony Overbay.
As the pre-season makes its way around the last turn, I sit here with optimism and impatience for the games to get underway. The first pre-season game is August 9th, a Thursday game at Chicago to face former Broncos Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall for the first time since they were traded away. I highly doubt Manning takes a snap this game, or at most, 1 drive if he does. This first game I will...

Bills Finish Preseason 1-3… No Biggie
Posted on 2 Sep 2011 by Norm Duhamel.
The Buffalo Bills have finished the preseason with a 16-6 loss to the Detroit Lions. The league really shouldn't even count wins or losses in the pre-season because ultimately they don't matter. A great example of how meaningless these games are; in 2008 the Detroit Lions finished the preseason 4-0 and didn't win a game all year. Pulling stats from this game would be a big waste of time, ...

It’s Only Exhibition, But Should Bills Fans Be Worried?
Posted on 21 Aug 2011 by Norm Duhamel.
As I was trying to find the Bills game on T.V. last night I was getting updated from my iPod touch. Based on the updates I knew not to bother searching anymore and just get the final score in the morning. Should Bills fans be worried about the 24-10 loss against the Denver Broncos? Yes, but there a few things to take into account, before we have a fire sale. It really is only the preseason, p...

Dirty Bird Blog: Get Ready!

Canada….ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?! Only one day left until the Montreal Alouettes take to the field for their first pre-season game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. This is the chance for fans to have some questions answered regarding what team will be on the field for the home opener. Questions like: 1. Who replaces Avon Cobourne in the backfield? - According to Marc Trestman, t...

Hawks go 2-4 in preseason
Posted on 25 Oct 2010 by John Morgo.
Before I delve into the Atlanta Hawks as the regular season quickly approaches, I want to touch on a great philosophical question. It’s not as deep as the chicken-and-egg, or as metaphysical about the throwing abilities of a woodchuck, but it’s still something that’s keeping me awake at night. Why, in the MLB postseason games on TBS and Fox, is there a graphic keyed behind home plate only...

Knicks Notes (in 60) – Preseason Game #6 vs Nets
Posted on 20 Oct 2010 by Jordan Lauterbach.
Due to other commitments (ok, mainly my love of playoff baseball), I had to watch last nights preseason game “in 60.” I have never ever done this before and hate the concept of it but my DVR was full and, as much as I love the NBA, I’m not missing a playoff baseball game for a game that doesn’t count…. Here are a few observations from the night (in 60, of course) - ...

Preseason Home Opener
Posted on 16 Oct 2010 by Justin Sammartano.
Within the past week the Knicks have hosted a pair of events at the Garden. These events included an open practice on Sunday, and a preseason game on Wednesday against the Celtics. These two events were important for one reason and one reason only, the fans. This week was basically the first time in which the Knicks were able to showcase their newly acquired star to the fans in the heart ...
