Tampa Bay continues to CAPitalize on power plays in season opener

Last year Tampa Bay scored almost 90 percent of the time on the power play against the Capitals and tonight was no different as they scored three goals out of their six on power plays to defeat the Capitlas 6-3 in the season opener of the 2013 (2012 part lost) season. The Carolina Hurricanes blew a big chance to gain ground in the Eastern Conference standings when Andrei Kostitsyn scored on the power play with 3:53 left in the third period to give the Montreal Canadiens a 4-3 win in Montreal Saturday night.
