Talking the Talk…The Magic Week in Review
Posted on 28 Feb 2011 by Warren Shaw.
“We’ve been talking for a long time—all we seem to do is talk…You guys know what the difference is. You watch the games. If guys don’t want to play, they need to sit down. We can’t just have guys or anybody out there not playing hard. We’re professional athletes. This is what we do for a living. If you can’t go out there and go hard for two hours, then you shouldn’t be pla...

After another road loss to Charlotte on Saturday, Washington returned home to face Sacramento, one of the few teams with less wins than the Wizards. Despite the freezing rain and snow outside the Verizon Center, both teams were scorching the nets with terrific shooting, with the hottest hand belonging to Nick Young. The match-up featured Kentucky rookies John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins, but it w...

It wasn't easy, but the Los Angeles Clippers did enough to notch win No. 5 on the season Monday night at Staples Center. Despite leading by 17 points on three separate occasions in the third quarter, the Clippers had to overcome a late four-point deficit to take down the Sacramento Kings 98-91. Eric Gordon led all scorers with 28 points on 10-17 shooting, including the go-ahead three-pointer to...

Los Angeles Clippers: Doing it With Defense?
Posted on 3 Dec 2010 by Taylor Smith.
The Los Angeles Clippers are 4-15 this season, a half-game behind the Minnesota Timberwolves for the worst record in the NBA. However, when you consider the quality of the wins, 4-15 doesn't actually sound too shabby. The Clippers have taken down the 13-6 Oklahoma City Thunder, the 13-5 New Orleans Hornets, and the 15-3 San Antonio Spurs. (They've also beaten the 4-12 Sacramento Kings, but 4-12...

Clippers Can’t Keep it Going Versus Phoenix
Posted on 28 Nov 2010 by Donovan Williams.
I missed the opportunity to write a blog post about the Clipper win over the Sacramento Kings the other night. I've got two kids and it is Thanksgiving, so I hope you will give me a pass. Not to mention I woke up at 1:30 Friday morning on an adventure searching for deals. And deals I found. In fact, I found so many deals that I was out until 6:00 pm at night. When I got home the Clippers were ...

Tonight the Knicks began a three game West Coast road stand with a trip to Sacramento. The Knicks who are coming off a six game losing streak, once again started slow, yet this time were able to overcome the deficit and pull out a win. Final Score: NY Knicks (4-8) 113 Sacramento Kings (3-7) 106 It seems to be too early in the season to declare games as must wins, although in the case...

Grizzlies will be home for the MLK Jr. Holiday
Posted on 21 Aug 2010 by Jason Lee.
Ever since the Grizzlies packed up and moved from Vancouver to Memphis in 2001 they've been an easy fit for the NBA schedule on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Memphis is of course tragically linked at the hip with MLK because Memphis is where the civil rights leader was assassinated.
