The Phillies have hired Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg to manage their Triple A Lehigh Valley club, the team announced Monday morning. Speculation has swirled for the past week as former Iowa Cubs manager and former Cubs Hall of Fame player Ryne Sandberg was passed over to succeed Lou Pinella as Chicago Cubs manager. I have been loathe to come back here and post anything. You see, the team started winning a few games. The starting pitching wasn't great, but the bullpen was excellent, and the hitting was timely.
