A tough series against the Dodgers puts the Cubs in a pickle trying to finish out this home stand with a decent record. Los Angeles took two of three from the Cubs over the weekend. Terrible starting pitching spelled doom for Chicago in this series that included a thrilling win on Saturday, overcoming blowing a five to one lead and an eight to five deficit, late. Ok, I’ll come out with it. I was raised a New York sports fan. My father was a huge Yankees fan. The passion he felt for the Yankees lives on through me and my passion for the Cubs. He might be rolling over in his grave for my choice to go from rooting on the winningest team in sports history to rooting on the team with losing attached to its lore.
