CAL DROPS PAC-10 OPENER TO STANFORD
Posted on 8 Jan 2011 by Mike Cid.
California coach, Mike Montgomery, said it best, “we shot 50% but we couldn’t get stops.” The Cal Bears lost to the Stanford Cardinals 82-68 in the Pac-10 opener for both teams. Stanford improved their overall record to 8-4 while Cal dropped to 7-6. Cal trailed at halftime 38-34, but Stanford shot 72% in the second half to pull away for the win. Posted on 26 Sep 2010 by Ryan Frank.
The #5 Oregon Ducks went into Tempe on Saturday and capitalized on 7 Sun Devil Turnovers and grabbed a 42-31 victory. It was Oregon's first Pac-10 victory and they are now 4-0 on the season. Oregon's offense wasn't exactly what it has been for the first 3 games of the season but they got the job done. Oregon's Defense is what kept them ahead in the game, although giving up 597 yards to the Sun ...
